❣️Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah❣️
No song can better sum up their 'nafrat paas aane na de aur mohabbat dur janne na de' era. The constraint, the vulnerability, the angst.
Khushi has always been marketed as this quirky, manic pixie dream girl, and not wrongfully so, but there was SO much more to her. For me Khushi's character stood for resilience and unwavering faith, more than anything else.
I know a lot of viewers aren't a big fan of this track, and for all the right reasons. But the reason it is so special to me is because of how Sanaya proved herself here time and again, showcasing how stunning of an actress she is. Because everytime Khushi cried, I cried with her.
Since the very beginning Khushi didn't have glamourous script. There was no helicopter entry in sheesh mahal with a myriad of reporters jostling for her glimpse. No. Sanaya inherited Khushi's small town charm and quick wit, which she embodied marvellously. That paired with Sanaya's impeccable comedic timing, us audience never stood a chance. All of us were simply destined to fall in love with Khushi AND Sanaya.
Definitely not wholly satisfied with how this came out to be but for the life of me I can't listen to seven one more time.
