A Speed Date With Markiplier (Egos)! Wilford x Reader (4/12)
“You know, this is actually kind of fun.” [Y/N] said offhandedly.
“Really? I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself!” Seal bounced a bit in her excitement. “And we’ve got more to go so there’s only more fun to be had! Now, your next date is Wilford!”
“Someone say my name?” [Y/N] jumped at the sudden voice next to them, turning to see Wilford Warfstache.
“I Well...” Seal did a quick double take. “When... Why are you here? You’re not supposed to be here yet.”
“I have a bone to pick with you.” Wilford pointed an accusatory finger at the woman. “Whats this about a dating show going on and why am I, the great Wilford Warfstache, not hosting it?! Hm?” He asked, arching an eyebrow as Seal took a step back.
“You can’t host it, you’re one of the contestants! You’re supposed to take [Y/N] here on a date!” Seal gestured to [Y/N] and once all eyes were on them they gave a small wave.
“Well... Why didn’t you say so?!” Wilford’s mood changed like a light switch had been flipped, Seal sighing in relief. “Hello there Sweetcheeks! Don’t worry, ol Warfy knows how ta woo a person.” He said snapping his suspenders.
“I’m sure you do.” [Y/N] laughed, this should be fun.
“Now, I planned for y’all to-“
“Plan? Warfstache doesn’t listen to no plan! Come with me dumpling, I’ll show you a good time.” He winked at [Y/N] grabbing their hand and warping them from the room, leaving Seal alone.
“You still only have 20 minutes!” She shouted to no one.
[Y/N] shook their head as they found themselves standing outside with Wilford, who had let go of their hand and was now digging through his pockets, pulling out rather comical things.
“No, no, no,” he continued to say as he pulled out what was the wrong object, [Y/N] aching an eyebrow as he pulled a whole umbrella out and threw it to the ground. He then pulled out a glass bottle, looking curious about it before he sprayed some of the liquid inside of it into his mouth, his face scrunched up as they threw the bottle on the ground and broke it. “That’s cologne.”
“Uh, Wilford... What are you looking for?” They asked as he finally seemed to find what he was looking for, a silver band with a small diamond in the middle.
“Aha! Here we are!” He said excited before handing it to them. “Put this on your left hand, we’re going to get so much free cake.” He waited patiently as [Y/N] put the ring on, surprised that it actually fit. “Let’s go.”
“Go wh-“ They weren’t able to finish as Wilford once again grabbed their hand and warped them away, this time to a bakery. Once inside Wilford gave the baker a story on how the two were soon to be wed and wanted to try some cake samples...
“We were thinking about a spring wedding, but I wanted to make sure the cake was already picked.” He talked to the baker as he brought out three different cakes for them to try. They did this with several other bakeries, Wilford having a different story for each baker. They were getting married on Christmas, they were waiting till spring, they wanted to get married on New Years exactly at midnight. The only thing that remained constant was the fact that one of the cake flavors had something to do with strawberries.
“It’s my pumpkins favorite.” He would say to the baker as they rolled their eyes. More like it was his.
“Wilford, this is fun and all but we haven’t exactly had a lot of time to talk to each other.” [Y/N] finally stopped him as their fifth baker left them to talk over the flavors.
“Talk? Why talk when we can eat cake?!” Wilford asked as if their question was absurd.
“You’re an interviewer aren’t you? I figured you’d have loads of questions.” They couldn’t help but laugh at his exaggerated look.
“Well maybe I wanted a break from asking questions ya ever think of that?” He huffed. “Maybe I just wanted to run around and tell stories of our wedding and eat cake, is that so wrong?”
“Well, no. If this is what you want to do alright but... I think we should get some actual food. I don’t think my stomach can take anymore cake.” They said, they’d lost count of how many samples the two had eaten at this point but the man just did not know when to stop. They felt like they were about to fall over.
“No, you went and got normal food with Darkipoo. I want to do something different, besides this is fun right? We’re having fun!” He seemed adamant on this.
“I... Yes, this has been fun Wilford. But we’re also running out of time.”
“What do you mean?” He leaned toward them, he couldn’t have forgotten the time limit could he?
“We’ve only got one minute left in our time. The limit is 20 minutes remember?” They said watching as his brows furrowed and he leaned back.
“20 minutes? That’s not nearly enough time! I have an idea... Time out!” He called, using his hands to make a T and the clock in the bakery stopped.
“Can... Can you do that?”
“No, he can’t.” [Y/N] jumped slightly at the sound of Seal’s voice. “Especially not at the literal last second!” Her normal cheery voice was replaced with a rather irritated one.
“Well too bad! I just did.” Wilford responded sassily before snapping his fingers, making Seal disappear.
“Wilford I don’t think this is a good idea...” [Y/N] said but he just rolled his eyes.
“Oh it’s fine, there’s still so much I want to do with you. C’mon now gumdrop! We can get a couple more bakeries in!” He said grabbing their hand and once again warping them to a bakery. Only this time Seal stood at the counter with a frown.
“No way Warfstache. No one gets an unfair advantage which means no extra time for anyone for any reason. You may get away with that stuff else where but not here and not today. Time, is up!” She said harshly before snapping.
[Y/N] stood in the plain room they’d grown accustom to, across from them was Seal rubbing her temples.
“I don’t know why I agreed to work with that man.” She sighed before turning to [Y/N]. “I’m sure your stomach hurts after all that cake, why don’t you go lay down while I go fix a couple things?”
“Uh sure... Thanks.”
“No problem.”

I give you, the chaos that is Wilford Warfstache. It’s a bit longer but I wanted to make it a little crazy because well... it’s Wilford. This one was a lot of fun to write haha! I wasn’t sure what to do with him to tell the truth, all I knew was that he probably wouldn’t actually like whatever I came up with... so this happened. As always I accept any and all feedback. I hope you enjoyed reading! ~Seal~
