IPrimus: Late fees please
Me: Why?
IPrimus: we had trouble getting money from your account.
Me: ok, why didn't you tell me earlier?
IPrimus: processing takes time
Me: I'm not paying late fees for a problem you had doing something that's worked fine and which you took too long to tell me about.
IPrimus: I've taken $10 off your bill
Me: off my +$200 bill that should be $60? Thanks a fucking lot. Can you send me an email summarising and explaining the payment I have to make?
IPrimus: not for at least another five working days
Me: by which time there'll be another late fee, yes?
IPrimus: ... I have taken $10 off
I'm not good enough at haggling and the phone conversation continued until I had to get on a train and we couldn't hear each other.
I'd call them incompetent if I didn't know it was a system intentionally designed to extract money from customers
