First time in awhile I’ve read a book in nearly one sitting. My personal reading list curator, a.k.a. friend who tells me what to read next, gave me the recommendation. It was available immediately from the library and a new book love was born. Joe Ide’s IQ reminded me of Richard Price’s Clockers. For a time Clockers was the book I couldn’t stop talking about, thinking about and recommending. There are concrete similarities and more experiential ones. Joe Ide loves Sherlock Holmes and created the character of IQ, a genius who solves crimes with his tremendous observational skills, knowledge and reasoning capabilities as he manages or does not manage personal struggles and challenges. It is contemporary and timeless. I read the eBook first and now I am listening to the audio book also readily available at the library. #joeide #iqthebook
