"Why did we stop moving?"

Why? Because once again, a group of “AYN RAND KNOWS ALL” types have decided to overthrow THE MAN, and have begun their crusade by taking over a business building in Phoenix. They manage to accidentally to kill power to the building soon after AJ and Ilona arrive, “trapping” the agents’ elevator between the second and third floors.

Fortunately, it’s 1am, and everyone else in the building is gone, so it’s more of an irritation than any actual danger, and it takes the duo roughly forty-five minutes to get out of the elevator, and locate and arrest their opponents.

And they even have time for ice cream.

(This particular group uses the word “sheeple” seriously. They’re not much of a challenge.)

"Why did we stop moving?"

Seattle is a city with all kinds of interesting things to do and see, but Jean and Ilona aren’t doing or seeing any of them, because they’re stuck in an elevator on the 20th floor of a building with 25 floors. And they know there are HYDRA agents waiting for them on the 19th and 21st floors.

They’re both a little irritated, because this means they’re probably going to be late for the movie they were planning on seeing, but then again, when you’re an agent of SHIELD, sometimes things just don’t go your way.

But on the other hand, they don’t want to get into a gunfight, because then they’ll miss the next showing, so instead? They’re going to get creative… and the HYDRA agents are about to have a very, very bad day.

They weren’t even in Baltimore, they were in Rockville, and obviously they need to be in Not Maryland forever, because everygoddamntime something goes wrong, and in this case the wrong-going involves:

an elevator that stopped without warning

a  bomb threat

some moron panicking over a loudspeaker, thereby panicking everyone else in the building

a team of hostile agents who are going to be getting a thorough ass-kicking courtesy Belle & Ilona, because this is NOT THE WAY THEY WERE GOING TO SPEND A GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT GODDAMMIT
