You guys are probably one of the few blogs on here who write for the foretellers,, how about headcanons for when g/n reader finally sees Ira without the mask? 💕
I love getting asks for the Foretellers! They’re always so interesting to come up with.
**A Face Revealed ~ Ira x Reader**
-It only takes a handful of times of asking for you to realize that Ira absolutely, 100% will not take off his mask to show you his face. He tells you it’s because of the customs of being a Foreteller, but you suspect it’s more than that as well.
-Though your curiosity is almost overwhelming, you respect his wishes and stop asking him to take off his mask. Over time, you become used to him wearing the mask all the time, sometimes even forgetting that there’s a face underneath to see.
-The first time he takes off his mask in front of you isn’t planned, at least, not to your knowledge. He doesn’t make a scene of it, or tell you what he’s doing, you simply turn around, and there he is, looking at you expectantly and a bit self consciously.
-For a moment all you can do is stand there in shock. You don’t know what to do or say, and then the realization hits you that this must be the first time in a long time anyone is seeing his face. This is how much he trusts you.
-In your excitement, you jump towards him, wrapping your arms around him and laughing at the fact that you can nuzzle your face close to his without the unwieldy unicorn mask getting in the way. He seems slightly surprised by your reaction, but he wraps his arms around you in return, echoing your laugh when you reach up to contiually rub your hands over his face.
-You can’t stop looking into his eyes, happy and awed that you’re able to see them at all and noticing the way they crinkle at the corners with his own smile. As you manage to finally whisper “Thank you”, he leans down and presses his forehead to yours, shaking his head slightly, repeating your words back to you.
