Iranian guards killed
Eight Iranian border guards are reported to have been killed in a clash with rebels from neighboring Pakistan. – Armed terrorists broke into Iran from Pakistan and clashed with the border guards. They killed eight soldiers before they fled back to Pakistan, says deputy governor Ali Asghar Mirshekari to the state news agency IRNA.
The district offers many Sunnis and attacks against the mainly Shiite Iranian security forces are not uncommon. The attack in Negurdistrict however, is the deadliest since October 2013 when 14 border guards were killed in an attack.
