The all Camelback cleanup day was a great success! Thank you to everyone that showed up at 7:30am on AZ’S first somewhat chili day. We had plenty of volunteers, refreshments from International Rescue Committee, tools and grabbers from City of Phoenix Neighborhood Services Department and City of Phoenix Public Works Department, And lots of love from the neighbors and businesses. One business even contracted a pressure washer to wash off all the sidewalks in their market area. We had a guy show up who was experiencing the crisis of homeless and Lisa got him in touch with Community Bridges- Az Bridge to Recovery who showed up right away. Even Vice Mayor Laura Pastor 4 City Council showed up And helped! With everyone working together we cleaned up all the lots and sidewalks from seventh Avenue to about 23rd Ave on Camelback. Word on the street is that we even inspired a group over on Thomas to do their own cleanup on the same day. THANKS LISC Phoenix, International Rescue Committee in Phoenix, Local First Arizona and The Refuge AZ for coffee. #commUNITY #LocalFirstAz #IRCphoenix #CityOfPhoenix #LISCphx #CLRC (at Camelback Light Rail Corridor)
