@iridescentflamx asked - "You gonna tell someone?" His blue eyes fell on her face. A smoldering corpse behind him.
A blond ear twitched, blue eyes locked on the corpse just behind him. Her nose wrinkled before she exhaled harshly; the fact that burning bodies smelled similar to grilled meat was something she didn’t enjoy. A crispy corpse shouldn’t have her thinking about a cheeseburger, but maybe that’s why she wasn’t a true hero.
Finally she met his gaze again, shaking her head. “No… What’d they do?” She couldn’t deny her curiosity as an ear shifted, listening to their surroundings so no one snuck up on them.
Eve looked over toward the door, opening her wings out slightly in case she needed to make a last-ditch escape. Some of her feathers reflected the light, making prisms on the wall of the door entrance, her wings resembling those of a snowy owl. "You would be correct, sir." She smiled, hoping her Japanese wasn't too awkward.
@iridescentflamx | Dabi taps on his phone as he's walking down the street. He's hardly paying attention to where he's going. It's only when he feels his body slam into another that his focus is turned to the real world. "Ah sorry.. I didn't see you down there" Lowering the device, Dabi shrugs.
had it been anyone else that ran into them, ibuki might have snapped at the person, grabbing the collar of their shirt just to shove them away from themself. but seeing as it was dabi who bumped into them, the inventor simply grinned from ear to ear, dusty pink gaze narrowing as they gazed up towards him.
" yer lucky i actually fuckin' like yer presence, dabi, " they hummed out, " what's gotcha so distracted that yer runnin' me over? "
@iridescentflamx said: It's late. And Dabi is out getting a snack. The 24 hour convenience shops usually have something good. These trips of his are often uneventful. This time though, something caught his eye. A pretty face. And one he hadn't seen around before. "Excuse me.. Mind if I reach past you real quick?" He pointed to some canned cat food on the shelf.
Any sane person would be in bed at this hour, but Melody wouldn’t exactly call herself sane. A villain playing at being a hero wasn’t the sort of scheme a sane person would come up with. The fact she crippled heroes, while also putting away small time criminals and villains alike was the work of a madwoman indeed. It was exhausting, but somebody had to do it.
It was all for the greater good.
She was staring at the shelf of goods in front of her without seeing them, mind in several different places at once. She’d come in to grab something to eat and an energy drink, but hadn’t moved from the spot she’d been standing in for several minutes.
A blonde ear twitched in his direction before blue eyes looked up, the blue they met more vibrant than her own. It was startling and she simply blinked up at him for a moment, taking in his appearance and scent. His scent reminded her of a campfire on a fall evening. It only lasted a second, between one blink and the next she came back to herself. “Cat food?” she followed where he’d pointed, surprised to in fact see cat food. What the hell? “Go for it,” she murmured, finally taking stock of exactly what aisle she was standing in.
The snacks were a few aisles over. Maybe she should call it a night; she’d been staring at cat food for nearly five minutes. “Fuck,” she laughed softly at herself, heat settling in her cheeks as she moved to give him space to get what he wanted.
Dabi entered the convenience store. Poking out of his coat pocket was a small kitten. He headed for the hot foods section to pick some fried chicken. However, there was only one piece left. And his hand collided with another as he reached for it.
Keigo, tired, slower than usual had just finally ended his last patrol round. A quiet night hadn’t worked against his low lidded eyes, but he knows what will. Coffee. Luckily for him there seems to be a store open yet at this hour of the night, so he swoops down, folds in his wings to squeeze through the slow sliding doors and pops in. The place seems empty except for the cashier but then again Hawks wasn’t on top of his game currently. Dragging himself towards the hot section of the store he uses the coffee machine, he stares at the slow filling cup as he blinks a couple of times. This smell, the sound of the grinding beans.. is a type of comfort. However another scent seems to make its way towards the hero’s nose, a smell he loves even more than the fresh brown beans mixed with hot water.
Chicken. And fried chicken at that.
With newfound strength he brings himself over to the source, his eyes straight and only focused on the price as he reaches for the last piece. But his hand stops as he feels a brush of another against it, talk about heated section he can even feel it through his glove. That is one warm hand. Keigo looks up, snapping out of his tunnel vision to inspect the guy that seems to have appeared out of nowhere. A long black coat, matching the darkness of his hair, a white shirt that hangs lower on his chest. And especially the stitches that cover his lower jaw and face, but Hawks isn’t put off, he hangs around shadier individuals. So he just retracts his hand for now. You’re a hero, Hawks this is what heroes do, endless acts of selflessness. Give it to him. He looks over the other one more time, under all those burns and battered skin he seems like a regular guy. “You can.. have it.” Keigo starts as he still tries to put on a smile and flashy performance. But giving up his favorite… sucks.
Letting it go he wants to turn away and at least pay for his coffee though a little hairball seems to catch his golden eyes, a small kitten is poking out of the other male’s pocket. The hero’s smile, now genuine as he sends one of his smaller feathers for the feline to play with. Careful to not let it get caught in the tiny yet sharp nails.
Maybe some smalltalk won’t hurt after all. His owner seems just as interesting as the bundle of fur he carries. “So, who are the two delinquents I lost my dinner to tonight hm?” He jokes while he looks at the kitten but he’s subtly asking the other for his name.
"You just gonna stand there.. Or what?" Dabi turned to face the the other. His latest victim still smoldering behind him.
The scene caught her completely off guard, it was only natural to freeze for a small moment. Only a moment before Kaiden broke herself out of it.
She doesn’t respond to him, instead she charges her electricity through a copper wire and whips it towards Dabi. Taking him down quickly and efficiently was her goal, to keep him from continuing killing and burning more people.
