💕 whats your favorite part of your writing process?

I mean, this is the only way to get stories that are 100% specifically exactly what I want, and so at its best writing is just absolutely me getting high off my own supply. Imagining scenarios and then putting words on the page and being like "god they're so cute! I love them so much!!!" about things I just made up. Writing porn that I can come back to because godDAMN it hits. That's exactly the stuff. Oof. Nobody does it like me. (For me. Because I'm writing for me.) I write what I want to read and so it's always there for me to reread it, which I do. Hell yeah!!! Writing lately has really been an escape from the Everything of it all and man it's worked great. Five stars for hallucinating and then transcribing scenarios instead of giving into the anxieties.

😠 whats your least favorite part of your writing process?

There is always some point where I'll get locked up on a story and it is soooo consistently annoying because like, if it's my usual romcom whatever it's almost always me getting shy about writing the sex scene (why? why does that happen??? I have been doing this for decades!!!!) and if it's more of a PWP then I'll suddenly forget how plot works and I'm like how did they get here? Where is this going? And every time they're the most answerable possible questions, my brain is just being a brat about it. But anyway I've gotten a lot better about writing stuff out of order so I've found it helps to just skip ahead and write the ending so I have something to work toward.

Trope meme: sex pollen! orrrr alternatively ... fuck-or-die!

Sex pollen: I’ve written it! It was way back in 2008, and it was very much the horror movie version of sex pollen. Also, not on AO3 yet because the audience was limited even then. The Next Communist Revolution,  FSRPF, Tanith Belbin/Brooke Castile, Tanith Belbin/Johnny Weir, Ben Agosto/Charlie White. Porn with serious consent issues because it’s sex pollen fic. I’m not sure I’ll ever write something like this again, because the consent issues do give me pause and because I feel like I’ve made my statement about the trope.

Fuck or Die: A classic trope I haven’t written! I’ve thought about it, though, mostly as some sort of ‘90s Star Trek nightmare scenario with Dr. Bashir fucking Garak out of a handwavey Cardassian health crisis or something something Q. I mean, I haven’t thought about it that hard. I doubt I’ll ever get around to it, although I might be due for a DS9 rewatch, so let’s say there’s a 20% chance this will happen.

20. Talk about a ship you feel alone in shipping. Since last night’s ep of Game of Thrones, uhhhh Brienne/Arya. 😅 Also I just saw The Beguiled and I would read some Edwina/Alicia. I will also beat the drum of Peter Parker/Aaron Davis until the day I die, apparently. I want a lot of things right now!!

37. Do you have a favorite trope and/or AU for your OTP? I love fake dating anywhere I can get it and am always mildly offended when sources don’t take more advantage of this possibility. Why didn’t I get fake dating episodes for every possible pairing on Agent Carter? Ravi and Liv posed as a married couple for the briefest part of an episode of iZombie and I just about fucking died. God!!! I have to be pretty deep into a fandom/pairing to want AUs, but when I get there I’m always ready to party with some kind of power differential vibe - master/servant, teacher/student.

makes breakfast Whoever’s up first, but that’s usually Charlie, so.

remembers to feed the fish There are no fish because Charlie would worry that the dogs would drown in the fish tank or eat one. Charlie is in charge of feeding the dogs, as well as all other dog-related responsibilities, because Jeremy is just going to mess it up and then the dogs will be sad.

decorates the apartment Jeremy offers to do it himself, but Charlie hires a decorator. They’re the decorator’s favorite clients.
