Found what I can only imagine to be a mutant rainbow-colored Mediterranean Praying Mantis. Only ever seen green ones with a slight pink shading and an orange spot under their abdomens. Maybe this is just the way they look as twilight approaches.

Found this half-inch, baby male Mediterranean mantis before the first dust storm of the year blew in. It seemed to want to play peekaboo. I hope he is ok.
