It wasn’t cute

I was so engrossed in the West-Allen family drama that I didn’t really pay attention to what Caitlin and Cecile did at the softball game when Nora was giving Iris attitude/shading her. But I have so say, I usually like Cecile, but her look with Caitline in that scene totally turned me off her. She acted like a high school girl that was please that the popular girl was getting taking down a peg.

She is Iris’ stepmother. She, herself has to deal with an adult daughter. She knows that Iris didn’t have a chance to have a mother when she was growing up, therefore, Iris never really got the chance to have a mother/daughter relationship with anyone. So for her to sit there, watch Iris’ daughter shade her/disrespect her and act like she was watching an entertaining show, wasn’t cute. It was distasteful in way because someone in her position should have been the one who gave Iris a comforting/sympathy look. She should have been one of the people Iris could count to have her back when her daughter is giving her such underserving/unprovoked attitude. She should have been one of the people ,outside of Joe, to take Iris aside and ask her what was going on and offer advice/suggestions. But instead, she shared kinda of a please look with Caitline in that situation.

I won’t even mention Caitline because I didn’t expect better from her and I didn’t get better, so I didn’t care. But I expected better from Cecile and it was really disappointed to see her not do better. I was actually hopping that Iris and her could have a real close relationship in which Iris could have somone to confide. I hope this was the last time I see this shit from Cecile because it wasn’t cute.
