Small reminder that (even though I’m not coming back to the Tumblr RPC) that doesn’t mean that I don’t still think of and care about y’all. Hope every single one of you is doing alright!
(Shout out to the people who’ve been sticking around despite me leaving.)
I know that a lot of people have duplicate anxiety and if you have it, feel free to tell me and ask me to unfollow you (I won’t have any hard feelings) but I personally love them. I feel like everyone writes their muses differently and has different headcanon and different perceptions. And its so cool to watch the same character grow into different directions!
There’s also always so much potential in plotting between two muses who originate from the same character!
I don’t really know where I was going with this... just... I love duplicates!
I’m shouting out some of my favorite duplicates underneath the cut. Feel free to do the same! Lets make this a circle of Duplicate love.

Jack half-expected Atlas to scold him for his action, but the opposite was true.
His heart hammered in his chest when the man turned to him and kissed him back instead. On his cheek, of course! It sort of made him wonder how a real kiss would feel like... No! He shouldn't even think about that!
His cheeks flushed, eyes now sub-consciously focused upon Atlas' lips.
“That was a thank you,” Jack told him instead, finally averting his gaze “For everything.”
It had been a thoughtless question, almost just as thoughtless as when he had said those words to Atlas the first time around, something that had slipped into Jack’s mind as he learned more about the world around him while navigating through Rapture.
“Yes!” Jack’s smile brightens, the red flush of his cheeks spreading to the rest of his face “And I love you, too!” he just wanted to have said that, before they got Atlas and Apollo out of there.
He didn't want to be as reliant on other people as he was, so when Atlas told him he had to get out for supplies, Jack had insisted it would be alright for him to leave. It hadn't taken long before the walls of the safe room started to creep up on him, however, and the static of the shortwave radio echoed all around him.
Jack could hear the False Atlas speaking to him (despite having smashed the radio to the floor the moment he met the True Atlas). He sat collapsed into a fetus position on the floor, rocking back and forth on the heels of his feet, while knocking the palms of his hands against his temples.
“You're not real... you're not real... you're not real...” he repeat it like a mantra, until finally … silence fell. The crackling sound of the invisible shortwave radio stopped and the silence that followed was deafening.
When the real Atlas returned, Jack was begging for him (or the other Atlas) to return to him, unable to handle the silence on his own. He gasped and wrapped his arms around Atlas tightly when the man drew him into a hug, burying his head against his shoulder. “I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, please don't hate me.”
Jack still froze up when Atlas touched him, despite the large amount of time they had spend together, and Atlas never once hurting him. (Trauma was one hell of a thing.) He slowly relaxed in his arms though, bending down to rest his head on his shoulder for just a moment before they parted.
Atlas always did that. Giving hope. Mentioning leaving Rapture like it was something that was actually possible as opposed to a far away dream. Jack never had the heart to bring up his own doubts when he was around the man, especially not now.
It was Atlas' birthday, after all. Or at least the day thereafter.
“Yeah,” Jack agreed with a soft smile instead “You can still tell me about it now, though. So I am prepared for what I will have to do once we're topside.”
“Well, they’re certainly imposing. No wonder Songbird was modeled after them.” he says the last part mostly to himself, “Hmm. Anyway, who would you be?”
