The battlefield was hash and unforgiving, and taught a lesson that Fio would certainly learn after this encounter.
She was still a new agent of Overwatch, but had been overworking herself with training, aiming to be the very best that she could be for the sake of the world. Fiorella was never the strongest, nor the most resilient, but what she had was determination, and that would see her through. Most things, anyway. An injury of this caliber was not one that sheer determination would help her to survive.
Corona rested her head back on the slab of rock she hid herself behind, hissing a bit as she pulled down the top of her thigh-high boot, to reveal a bleeding gash .She’d been lucky that she’d dived out of the way of the bullet and only given it the chance to graze her, but that didn’t mean it didn’t still hurt like hell.
Her best had been done to fire a couple of her healing shots towards it, but all that had done for her was numb the pain for a while, before it returned with a vengeance. Fio had already been running on this leg - and she needed to stop. However, bullets continue to fly in this active battlefield, a mission that she wasn’t sure she’d succeed in at this point.
She needed a guardian angel, but she wasn’t sure if she’d find one.
