Mechanics Book
I.E. Irodov's Fundamental Laws of Mechanics is a good short read (only 255 pages of material). Irodov says himself, "The objective of the book is to draw the readers' attention to the basic laws of mechanics... at the same time the author has excluded all things of minor importance in order to concentrate on the questions which are the hardest to comprehend" (pg 7) which he does very well. All that is needed is a thorough knowledge of basic calculus. However, he will go over some of the mathematical tools used in vector calculus such as the del operator, but you will be fine without having taken vector calculus. All in all, covering topics from kinematics and dynamics to the basics of relativity I think Irodov did very well with this text.
