The Iron Doom is completed! It only took a few hours, 3 rounds of waiting for missing parts, 1 depressive episode, 4 attempts, 1 fingernail, 1 claim that I was Cyrus Borg, 2 accidental removals of Acronix’s hair and hood, 1 shelf-jumping attempt from Krux and the pain of hellfire itself unleashed on my hands 🙌

Avengers #7 Review

Not only has he paid the Avengers a visit. But has a mission for them, Nadia Pym in particular. Of course, it takes the team some convincing and Nadia gushing over Victor to get on board. Some unwelcome magic is occupying Susan Storm’s Girl’s Camp and Victor plans to get rid of it. That’s where Nadia comes in play posing a camper. As you would figure Nadia is found out and things from there go awry. All in all, Victor used this incident as a way to really do his own research into an Avenger. If you’ve been following Infamous Iron Man, this is an issue to read.

This was my first Avengers book since the most recent relaunch. Although I’ve had a love/hate relationship with Infamous Iron Man lately. When my friend told me he’d be showing up in the Avengers I figured I’d take this chance to jump on the series. I wasn’t let down and had fun with the issue. Besides some of the over the top Spider-Man dialogue at times, the team chemistry was felt throughout the issue. Mark Waid and Jeremy Whitley deliver on providing a throwback crossover vibe where you see a favorite character pop in a different series for a one and done. When you learn the true intentions of Victor’s mission, the issue hits harder at the end. The art collaboration from Phil Noto, Mike del Mundo, and Marco D’Alfonso is organic and reminds me of Bill Sienkiewicz's old New Mutant covers. But this time around it’s the interiors of the book. I’ll definitely stick around to see how the next arc plays out.

Overall: Iron Doom needs the assistance of the Avengers in order to get rid of dark magic brewing at Susan Storm’s Girls Camp. All the while Mark Waid and Jeremy Whitley have creative plans for Iron Doom’s real visit to the Avengers.
