introducing his royal highness, frederick matthias alexander baeder, the twenty-seven recently crowned king of austria. fearless, he is known to be the only of the three austrian brothers to return from the war. he looks a lot dominic sherwood.
‘suuup!! i am jae (she/her, 25, gmt-2) and very excited to be here!! i am awkward af, but i hope i can get to write with as many of you as i can. i never know what else to say so... let’s get to know more about ma boi! this is LONG AF, rip. also!! if you want to plot something, either pre-established or for a thread, like this post and i will drop you a message ^^;;
the second oldest of five siblings, frederick wasn’t meant to be king. he’s known this since he was born, knowing he was a prince and he had a duty with his country, but not one as huge as his older brother, albert.
he’s always been too protective, thinking the mission to look after his younger siblings and to defend the future king is on him. he’s always been particular close to maximilian, his younger brother: the boy had always brighten his days and his desire to fight for their country (when the war started) was inspiring.
it wasn’t much of a surprise when the three of them left to fight in the war, to be much closer than just hearing about it from the advisors—after four years since the war started (info: albert was 20, frederick was 18 and maximiliam was 16). as much as it broke his heart to know he would be apart from his sisters, frederick knew this was what he was supposed to do, what he and his brothers had to do: to defend their ground and allies.
however, it didn’t take too long for tragedy to start for the boys: max was the first to die in a battle against sweden, less than a year since they got actively involved in the war.
to lose one of them was hard for both of the remaining brothers—frederick became thirsty for blood against anyone who dared to come against them and many were the times albert had to hold him before he got himself killed as well.
it was, in fact, on one of these times that got the crown prince killed: the attempt to stop frederick, to keep them both more in the safe side than the one where their soldiers were. frederick doesn’t simply mourn his brother’s death, he blames himself and his stubborness—he had been seeing himself more as a soldier than a prince, and then, suddenly, he was the only one left. (info: albert died around a year ago, in 1531).
albert’s death was not enough to make him leave and stop putting himself in danger, though: even knowing he was the, now, crown prince, frederick would be found alongside his countrymen, ready for battles in which he was a great target by being the future king of austria. it took a great deal to take frederick out of the battlefield and put some sense in his head.
it was only a while before the war ended that he married rosalind blanchard, princess of england. the deal was simple: to make an ally out of an enemy, to help in the cease fire, for all of that supposedly end.
however, it never ended inside of frederick’s head. almost ten years in the war changes a man and he almost can’t recognize himself: he is not eighteen anymore, he is not the second oldest—he’s the king of austria, a crown he didn’t ask lying on his head, a marriage for alliances and peace; he’s lost too much.
to say the least, he has a lot of mental problems; he doesn’t sleep the whole night, he feels uncomfortable when surrounded by too many people at once, but all of these are masked by his serious expression towards most people, and by smiles when he is with his family.
his relation with his wife is... something. there isn’t a word yet, they are strangers who are slowly getting to know each other. frederick isn’t the most friendly and talkative, but rosalind knows he hears her as it isn’t hard to see him doing / saying things the exact way she suggests. one thing they seem to disagree fairly, though, is the matter of children: while rose is content with her flat belly, fred is not—but they’ve never really talked about it, or talked about anything related to their marriage.
now in italian court, he’s slowly learning more about his own role for his country, his duty, to behave as a king. he still seems rather quiet and cold, but would be seen softening whenever he is with his sisters.
& that’s all. i know it is long and i know frederick seems like a hard character to come close to, but he is actually someone who suffered too much and needs to recover from the horrors he’s been through. he is still learning a lot and regaining his own personality by the time and there’s a lot of development to be done. that being said, i’m completely open for any plots and brainstorms! <3

Biography & Facts
growing up in the heart of spain, sofia was known to have the temper of seven iberian horses; she was incapable of being bound to the rules. ever since sofia was little she had a strong opinion about everything, there was not one moment when the girl was not filled with life. after all she was one of the many princesses of spain who were destined for greatness.
as a girl she would run around the castle walls, she would climb over the rocks and find her way into the high grasses, surrounded by windmills towering into the sky she felt at home. her mother would always lecture her about how her dresses had become dirty and her father would simply laugh at his wife’s attempt to keep their daughter to do as she was told.
she would simply offer up a bright smile and nod her head, forgetting her very promise to her mother the next day. when sofie was younger, she had adored the stables more than anything, she would sit by her favorite horse all day and groom it, when she had the chance to steal away from her mother’s glance the girl would put on some basic clothes and ride the horse around the empty lands surrounding the castle walls and that was when she felt free.
as sofie lenore grew older, she never really did lose this sense of freedom. any try of keeping her within the castle walls was impossible. the girl was constantly in search of new adventures. she hated being bound in a corset and so she was not willing to prance around the castle like her mother did.
she wanted to be free, nothing but free. she did not want to take part of the lessons in how to be a true lady; however she did it anyway to please her father. during this time she became skilled in languages such as french, italian, latin, english, portuguese, russian, german and austrian. the princess also became skilled at playing the piano; dancing, reading & writing, sewing and at playing cards.
sofia was always her father’s favorite child; he was always on her side, which she gladly used to her advantage when she had caused some kind of trouble once more. sofiia was able to ride like the wind, in fact her first impression was never a delicate woman; yet there was softens in here. she was loud and outgoing, and always willing to claim what was hers as truly hers.
when sofia was about twelve years old, she had been on her way out of the castle, by climbing over the walls as the kitchen boy had seen her do this. the both of them immediately got along and ever since they were best friends. sofia trusted this boy with her life, they would often spend hours upon hours together and the mere thought of having to leave him some day to go to another country and become a wife was horrible.
sofia did not want to be queen or a wife, she felt as though this was too much responsibility; she wanted nothing more than to be a part of the foot folk. she wanted to live as freely as a farmer’s daughter, she often found herself dreaming of waking up as such, yet then was awakened to silk robes and golden furniture. nevertheless she was the princess of spian and her people always came first.
the people of her country looked up to sofia, due to the fact that she was very compassionate and cared much for her people she would do her best to help them with each problem they had. when people knew their appeal to the king was a lost case, they would request an audience with sofie because they knew that the princess would do anything for her land.
despite the fact that she was born into a royal family, sofia had always been very humble and down to earth. ever since she was little, she believed that everyone should be treated equally, no matter their rank or title. she doesn’t like and never used the terms ‘manservant’ or ‘handmaiden’, and she always referred to them either as ‘helpers’ or by their first name.
lastly before the war; sofia lenore was arranged to be married to the tsar of bulgaria. she remembered the day when her father and mother told her the news. her only fear had become real however she did all the necessary things to face them & not to mention over come it.
becoming the tsarina of bulgaria had it perks and during the war her alliance had changed. despite being spaniard; she was now also bulgarian. she thought about her people and their needs; making sure they were well taken care off.
sofia ruled along side of her husband; making sure he knew where her alliance stood and to show him she would for ever be at his side no matter what.
other important facts:

hi friends !! my name’s liz, i’m 21 from est and this here’s my moody lil baby viktor !! i’m pretty tired but i’d love to plot ( or just talk about the office and become best friends for life ) with y’all while i try to fall asleep. under the cut are a few points about vik while i get his stats up !!
viktor is the oldest of the nystrom family, and he feels the duty of his name and birth down to his bones.
on the outside he can seem very gruff and reserved, but to the few he allows himself to relax with, he loves to tease and amuse people.
being the king is really putting pressure on him since he hadn’t anticipated his father’s death so early. he was prepared everywhere but mentally. he definitely feels as if he can rule a battlefield better than a court.
now that he’s back home, he’s getting restless, wishing he was doing something other than sitting on a velvet cushion and forced to speak to enemies and allies alike.
he’s not the best with formalities and such, and usually leaves official courtesy business to the last minute, or tries to get out of it. he’s never been good with words.
hello guys, here’s my little introduction! i’m maddie and i’m from the gmt timezone, and also doing my dissertation yikes, so expect me on more or less every evening time most days! i’m really looking forward to meeting you all and getting to roleplay with all these amazing characters! i’ll be replying to starters shortly and probably expanding on the bullet points below, so if anyone would like to plot then give this a like and I’ll get right to you!
--- alina is the youngest child of the romanian royal family. she’s typically a sweetheart, and doesn’t have a harsh bone in her body. growing up, she always chose to see the good in people and was kind to anyone that crossed her path. alina is very easy to get along with, and can be quite a pushover at times but will happily fulfil any request if she believes it would benefit someone. she knows she won’t be queen one day, so she’ll settle for being “the people’s princess” in romania.
--- although some may say she seems naive, the princess is actually rather intelligent academically, and spends most of her time in the library or practising her musical talents (she can sing and loves to play the piano).
--- she spent most of her time during the war trying to help those in romania and nursing her father once he had returned. after her father’s death, she became more protective over her brothers and would constantly try to be around them, out of fear she’d lose them too.
presenting her royal highness, élisabeth delacroix, the queen of england ! anyway, hello, my name is hannah, i’ve been working on this for fifteen hours and it’s honestly not the best. please love me, love my daughter, and love me as i work on ilaria’s introduction.
TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR: mentions of miscarriage and death.
élisabeth sabine delacroix is the youngest of the four french children and the apple of her mother’s eye. her softness and gentle nature was manicured by a queen who believed her daughter would seal a great alliance between france and england during the great war.
known affectionately by her family and close friends as élisa, she married the english king at the tender age of seventeen in a proxy ceremony in france before it was declared safe for her to be transported to england and coronated queen on english soil.
though she has been married to the english king for four years and stepped up as queen the moment she arrived, she was significantly sheltered during her childhood when war broke out when she was eight.
as the youngest child of the french monarchy, élisabeth grew up with a very entitled and sheltered world view. she was only ever taught in theory, not in practice. her empathy and charm is manicured to appeal to courtesans, not to the common person.
however, since her time in england has begun, she has made a large effort to become more involved in the simple man’s life. she wants to be remembered for doing good in this country that has taken her in and made her their queen.
she honestly can’t tell if people sympathize with her or if they despise her, because she has lost one baby to a miscarriage and another to a sickness about three months after he was born.
the ache in her heart is still there, but on the whole she definitely feels as though she needs to be as strong and level headed as possible now that she’s four months into her third pregnancy.
hello everyone ! i’m britt (23, gmt, she & her) and i’m stoked to be here! do people still say stoked ? anyway this is my pride and joy, anastasiya. i’m still figuring her out, but i’ve got a bit of info on her below, so if you’d like to plot then please hit me up because plotting is so fun, am i right?
ana is the youngest of the lazarov family, but has the idea in her head that she is definitely the most intelligent and deserving of the crown. of course, she’s aware that she will never rule bulgaria as queen, but that doesn’t stop her from dreaming. she’s not necessarily trying to undermine her brothers or be a “bitch” about it, she’s just very forthright and ambitious... I guess you could say? she’ll always speak her mind if something is troubling her, and won’t hesitate to correct you on right from wrong. she’s sensible, but longs for a bit adventure and excitement in her life.
ALTHOUGH “sensible” but lowkey drinks like there’s no tomorrow to deal with the war and the effects of the aftermath. she also indulged in other pleasures with men below her status. of course, she kept this to herself as she needed to appear pristine and proper to the court. to the point where she sent an infatuated stableman off to fight in the war to avoid him going public with their affair.
her family means everything to her, despite how she feels, and would protect them with all she’s got to offer. if you ever crossed her or her family, she’d make sure you knew that you had wronged her and would try to make your life as dreary as possible.
