@irrevcrcntli asked ‘ do i ever even cross your mind or do i do all the thinking of us on my own? ’ {Rick}
It had to have been at least a good six or so weeks since Rick told her he was in love with her. As a response, she let her emotions cloud her logic and she kissed him, repeatedly. It wasn’t as if neither of them weren’t expecting it to happen. It was practically premeditated deep within their subconscious.
Still, that didn’t change how she had no idea where to go from there when the morning came. When she awoke next to him, one look at their clothes sprawled across the floor of her room pretty much told her everything she needed to know. Thus, she panicked. She ran off and avoided him for about two weeks before Morty and Summer got them to talk again. Even still, it was awkward, shallow conversational topics that got them nowhere. Most of their times together were spent in silence, whether it be watching interdimensional cable together or whether they were out on an adventure with one another. Talking in circles, around each other, always avoiding what had happened six weeks earlier.
That was, until she’d heard him suddenly blurt out those words on this night, as they were driving in his ship through space, returning home from another silent adventure. Things were awkward, yes, but they still joked around, so she’d just assumed that was what he was doing, despite not hearing a smile in his voice.
“Oh? You think of US?” She chuckled. “Looks like I owe Summer 20 bucks.”
