“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” -Confucius . . . . . . . . . . It’s probably a good thing I can’t find a single image other than the one Jonathan took after I finished Gazelle Girl, Sunday. I ended last season on a bad note only to discover running would be made more challenging come the next season. To say it’s been difficult to overcome, is an understatement. I have missed many days due to limited movement in my hip or back, soreness and just plain no motivation. But I fought back. I ran the longest I have in weeks and even though I ended up walking and running the last three miles, I ended up finishing just ten minutes shy of my usual time. I don’t always feel tough or like I’ve met or exceeded my expectations but I smiled at my finishing time, I gush at how much I fight and continue to fight to reach new limits while respecting what my body could once do but now only within limits and I rarely give myself credit that running 13 miles is “challenging”. I will not let Scoliosis, or the pressure on my hip from it, define my speed or define what makes me happy because truthfully running makes me happy! #irun4kai #happinessisrunning #justkeeprunning #notlimited #keepmovingforward (at Calder Plaza (La Grand Vitesse))
