i had a nightmare that i was being attacked and someone heavy was on me and they were choking me. and it felt EXTREMELY real i couldn't breathe in my dream or irl and the reason i woke up was because i couldn't breathe at all. now i have a thing where i have a fear of not being able to breathe (having asthma doesn't really help either :////).

I’ve got asthma too - but mine is exercise induced. I’ve had dreams where I’ve been running away from something and not been able to breathe, and it feels so real. I imagine dreaming that someone was actually choking you/sitting on your chest would be even worse.
