transit-5b-5 is based off a satellite that i thought was really neat because what it transmits (raw telemetry data, from what i remember) sounds like "singing"
mr-mirificus comes from the species name of my favorite dinosaur—deinocheirus mirificus. this option came to me like five minutes before falling asleep.

I've been meaning to check if this URL was taken for a while (months...), and finally got to it last night (*cough* early this morning bc I'm a disaster).
