As the weather warmed and the snow thawed, Rosemary and her friends gathered down at the beach frequently for picnics. They spoke mostly of music and the future of their band, much to Alexander's boredom; but anything was better than being stuck at home having to help his father on the farm now that Gladys was busy with her own family.
While Rosemary still had her reservations about Westley, they seemed to have dwilded some. Or at the very least, they had been dimmed with the blossoming crush she had for Rodney.
