tony abbott is kind of a big tool. im not going to say much because frankly, i dont think im in the position to say much because im not directly affected by his stupidity and lack of respect. but ok so he thinks that the niqab is a "confronting form of attire" - um tony, to be honest, i find the image of you in speedos pretty confronting too but im not going to be asshole about it when im in a high position of power. and so what im going to do about it is im going to respect your decision to wear your little lycra underpants and not marginalize you for it. 

mainstream news is also stupid to even try to watch nowadays because everything is so racist and stupid and i find it crazy because you'd think that since most of us all learn a fair amount about history and the segregation of races in the past, we'd learn from our mistakes and actually try to better the world so that when our grandchildren or great grandchildren are learning about this present time in school, they can see that there was an improvement and think "oh wow, its great that they were able to learn from the mistakes of the past." but the reality is, it is 2014 and we see things like this happening, along with the objectification of women and lack of gender equality, and the awful things happening in Ferguson and the injustice that runs rampant through the police force. idk about everyone else but its all pretty ridiculous,  for example, the shooting of michael brown and the reality of police corruption reminds me an awful lot of the beating of Rodney King in 1991. ah i dont know, i just thought that by now, the world wouldve been a lot better than it is, and its just disheartening to see all the rubbish thats happening now because they mirror so many past events that we are taught about in school.
