Neverafter established that fairies and witches are different categories and Brennan just set the stepmother against Pinocchio’s evil fairy in a pretty concrete way. Could the stepmother be considered a witch? If she is, what does it mean that characters keep calling Tim a witch? The fairytale season and the way the factions have been presented makes me want to sort everyone into archetypes but I feel like we’re falling into exactly the kind of trap the season is trying to warn against when we label everyone like that. Maybe I’ve ruled out princess too soon???
