Anakin: Entonces ¿no estás enojada?
I keep trying to put the reasons I appreciate and love trans women into words without it turning into incoherent rambling consisting of ‘oh ho ho’ and ‘women <3’, and I think I finally managed to pin-point the crux of my admiration: joy and choice.
They were presented with one thing when they were born, and they said no, that’s not me, or that’s no longer me, I am a woman, I choose the term woman to express the way I feel and who I am. And by choosing the term, they bring so many diverse and different experiences to womanhood; they get to define and redefine what womanhood is, which brings me to my second point: joy.
T*RFs and society will try to tell us that womanhood is a set of rules to abide by wrapped up in everlasting, overwhelming misery- you have to shave, you have to have a male partner and eventually have children with him no matter what you want out of life, you have to wear certain clothes and paint your face a certain way, speak in a certain tone, you have to take all the pain thrown at you and endure it because it’s what makes you a woman... And then I see trans women smiling as they do things that have always been forced upon me, or deviating from those things, molding them to their liking; they keep finding joy in the little things I was taught were part of misery I was only supposed to pretend to enjoy for the sake of the status quo.
They find so much joy in womanhood; they redefine it as misery wrapped up in little, ordinary and big, groundbreaking leaves of joy that make the misery taste less bitter.
And there are hardships, far more for them than for me, and they have to deal with all the pain of being a woman the world refuses to acknowledge as one because to them womanhood is a sentence, not a joy, and I’m never minimizing that pain and suffering and, oftentimes, loneliness, but I’ll also see a trans woman twirling in a colourful skirt for the first time and laughing and crying and I laugh and cry with her because I remember the simple, deep exhilaration of spinning in an airy skirt as a child, a feeling long forgotten, and something in me thought dead is alive again.
A lot about how BBC Sherlock screwed up Holmes and Watson but we can talk about how we all - even the fans of this version! - totally agree ON HOW MUCH THEY FUCKED MARY MORSTAN ?!
the idea posed in the reddit thread was that there was no limit on the butterfly stopping him from simply creating an akuma that is able to achieve his goals either through healing or time travel, with the only real limit of the power being range.
Well first of all. The Miraculous has the ability to grand people power. This could be any power. But Gabriel gives them the powers they want in that situation that would solve the problem they have in that moment. I don’t know where the Limit is. We saw him akumatize Nathalie which then made him able to create even more Akumas. But he wasn’t necessarly stronger. I think he is capable of creating an Akuma which would be able to cure people but Emilies Situation is different.
First of all - She is in that coma because of maaaaagiiiicccccc not because of some “natrual” reasons. That’s why she will never natrually be able to wake up again. Second - I don’t think Emilie is alive at this point. Or more in a sleeping beauty sleep. She dosen’t need air, and Gabriel more prevents her body from rotting. I think her situation is kinda like when you are brain dead. Your body is breathing but your brain sends no signals therefor you called “dead” just that Emilie isn’t moving at all. I think a huge part why Gabriel can preserve her in that state is because her situation has to do with maaaaaaagiiiiicccccc And you can’t cure that with anything he could create with maaaaagiiiiiiicccccccc since he dosen’t really know what Emilie needs to wake up. He wants the Wish to prevent that Emilie ever falls into that state or to let her Wake up since the Wish can make anything impossible, possible at that is her only chance.
Does y/n have any siblings? And what are her parents like towards her? (Minazuki)
shes an only child!!! all her cousins are male too!!! And y/ns parents were barely there because she was raised by her grandmother mostly who was the original user of the technique. So from bridal lessons to how she fights, how she acts, its literally a carbon copy of her grandmother i guess? (Only y/n is more soft-hearted and weak according to her granny since she cries a lot and i would say that another difference was that her grandmother was more submissive and complied more than y/n, so whatever they tried to do anything to her, she'd take it with her head down)
She pretty much has a love hate relationship with the old lady too; aside from giving her trauma because of the training and lessons and a lot of anxiety because she was told what to expect as a woman of her standing, she also related and connected (messed up way to call it love but thats how y/n views love before) with her granny because she was the only person Y/N could relate to and who knew what was going on since they were the same!
Hey so uuuh I finally watched Wizards tonight??? And BOY I can not stop thinking
