I'm going to sleep with the fact that DC wanted to redeem Richard by giving him the real nickname "Rick", but the fandom didn't allow it.

All right so, I was doing a rewatch of Teen Titans b/c reasons and I got to the Red X episodes. And I couldn't help but realize that, uh, the tools/tech that Robin uses against them

They were his contingency plans.

That's why they were so effective. He had that tech ready to go.

And if that ain't a gut punch. Especially in the Red X episodes where Robin is already being so secretive with his team.
