The one of the left is normal Nev, the one on the right is different. Basically Nev can change his hair and lip color to appear more naturally human. It’s not as helpful modern day bc ppl can dye their hair, but in ancient times it helped them blend in. Now Nev changes her hair and lip color if they want to melt into a crowd.
Anyway the concept for the second one is Nev post killing the owner of a fishing company that pollutes the ocean. Nev’s more powerful than any one mortal, but a group of people could overpower him. Nev’s magic is also a dead giveaway for not-being-normal, so they don’t use it around humans unless they have to, since it causes more problems than it solves. So Nev’s killing in secret, with brown hair and normally colored lips to be less noticeable.
