If you, a student, ever feel the need to profess your love to a professor or ask them out, just ... don’t.

Ethically, professionally, they shouldn’t answer you positively. A professor or teacher who does is a whole basket of red flags.

If they ARE ethical and say no, you’ve put them and yourself in a horrible and uncomfortable position and if you’re in their class still, even more so.

Even if you AREN’T still in their class, or recently graduated, they may be a person called on to write a reference letter for you. It’s a conflict of interest.

Just... don’t, okay?

Sitting here with THREE different j2 non-au fics in front of me and I cannot decide which one to read :/ (they’re all 55k+ so I can only get through one tonight...)

The Courtship of Jensen’s Co-Star pros: in my top three favorite fics of all time and I know it has a happy ending cons: already read it (like 5 times oops), is 112k words and it’s already almost midnight here

When Things Come Crashing Down pros: haven’t read it yet, looks very promising, has a sequel cons: is 75k words (how many hours is that?), I’m already on ch 5 and I like it but I’m having trouble staying focused on it (don’t blame the author, please, i’m sure it’s all me)

Pick Up Your Crazy Heart (And Give It One More Try) pros: also a new read, also seems very promising, is only 59k so I’d definitely be able to finish it tonight cons: I’m kinda really worried about the amount of will-they-won’t-they angst (I can only handle so much of it without getting frustrated and reading ahead just to make sure they get together)

Suggestions?

This week has been a very long one.

I was offered a job with a well known company, but only as a contractor, which I still accepted. I am very much still freaking out over what I've just done.

I was accepted back into my old university.

I have had awful conversations at truly awful times in the morning.

I became aware once more that I gifted in the land for the ability to freak out and have panic issues on what could be considered good news by most.

I am really glad it is the weekend. I can't anymore.
