I feel like the armor on the upper level of the shop is made for specific people... But it might be just me...
I’ve spent more money than I usually do on Things lately, so now I’m keeping myself on a budget. However, I love being on your Patreon, and I really can’t wait to sign up again. I’ve tried some Patreon accounts, and I think that yours is hands down the best. It’s so worth it, and definitely the one I keep getting back to every time.
Speaking of Patreon, something that I saw there made me wonder: how strong is the alliance between Griffins and Phoenixes? If Phoenix hadn’t been abducted and the marriage with Nour had gone on regardless of the route, what would it have represented? A strengthening of their alliance or what sealed it? And what would have happened if Phoenix had opposed the marriage? I mean, I suspect it would have led to chaos\war with the Griffins, but would it have happened because of Phoenix’s “offence,” because the alliance wasn’t strong in the first place, or both?
Fighting the cheeks, I refuse to smile this much! But seriously thank you, I'm always worried about not doing enough so hearing this is helpful lol. And your support is much appreciated, you have no idea!
So the current alliance between Griffins and Phoenix is strong but if Phoenix would have refused the arranged marriage it would have definitely caused strained relations. Due to Nour being next in line I doubt they would have wanted a war to break out but tensions would definitely be fragile. Griffins are a powerhouse and the main hub for trade between all the houses so angering them is actually the last thing anyone wants to do, and being allied to them is the first.
A thought: Witcher Camp. New baby witchers, freshly graduated from the trial of the grasses, go on a excursion into the wilderness to get in touch with their new instincts and abilities. They get to let loose and feel out what they’re capable of while also learning control.
Small groups, each with a seasoned instructor. They get to run around and learn to track and get their “here’s how to Survive out here” training. After all the tedious book learning and repetitive sword drills and horrible trials, they all look forward to this experience!
I love my ‘wolf witcher packs’ headcanons so this is also when I like to think they’d begin to feel out their comrades a bit more and start thinking about forming packs. They get to see each other in action, see who works well together, reinforce existing bonds, etc. Its probably a lot softer of an approach than they would have had in canon but I love the idea of a bunch of teen witchers getting set loose (with supervision) in the wilderness to test drive their new abilities and bond as a pack
