I was pondering today, and honestly I feel like some mutants would like/resonate with terms such as nonhuman/otherkin

especially ones that are more animalistic in nature like. I do not think a mf with animal instincts would particularly feel connected to humanity

and also due to how they ARE treated by humans

I mean, I was isolated a lot when I was younger due to neurodivergent behavior and that definitely impacted my alterhumanity/sense of self in general.

So yeah. I feel like a lot of mutants would be in some sense feel nonhuman (even if they don’t have/know the term)

This is for the kids who deal with fake smiles and strained politeness but also have to listen to them complain about the other to extended family when they think you can’t hear

This is for the kids who’s parents are trying so hard to maintain peace that they unconsciously redirect their anger and frustration to you

I see you and your confusion and pain is valid, even though it might seem small in compared to what other kids go through
