Some people leave,
and the moonĀ just keeps orbiting like nothing happened.
But mine didnāt.
It stayed still the moment you walked away.
And what's worse
you never came back.
Not even once.
Not even to see if I was still standing in the ruins of what we used to be.
You were the moon to me
Distant, glowing, unreachable,
But even the moon never leaves the sky
You did.
I wonder,
do you ever look up at the same stars
and think of the light we once shared?
Or are we like two distant planets now,
separate, untouchable,
each with our own orbits,
never to cross again?
I canāt stop chasing echoes of you.
Iām lost in a galaxy of memories
the way you held me,
the way we laughed,
the words we whispered in the dark,
like constellations carved into my soul.
But even the brightest stars burn out,
and I guess thatās what happened to us.
And yet,
I still find myself searching,
looking up at the night sky,
hoping that the stars will somehow realign
and bring us back to the same place we were.
But deep down,
I know thatās just a fantasy
a dream of what could have been.
Youāre gone,
and Iām left with only the remnants of what we once were,
pieces of a galaxy I can never fully reach.
But even in this,
even in the emptiness of it all,
I canāt hate you.
I canāt blame you.
I know you had no choice,
just as the stars have no choice
but to burn and fade away.
You had to go,
just as I had to learn to let go.
It wasnāt supposed to end this way,
but it did.
And somehow,
I know this universe wasnāt built for us to last forever.
Still, I canāt help but wonder
in some parallel dimension,
maybe we didnāt let go.
Maybe we still burn bright together,
a blaze that never fades.
Imagine: Being Scottās human sister and he finds out youāre Theoās mate, making you a part of the Chimera pack
Scott sighed as he saw you standing across from him, next to Theo, who was slightly in front of his Chimera pack. He had just found out you were in fact Theoās mate and that he was not going to be keeping away from you. And the worst part was, you had feelings for Theo too.
āCome with me Y/N, please, letās just go home.ā
Scott begged as his pleading eyes searched your face for any sign that could help him determine if you would listen to him. Theo took another few steps towards where your brother was standing, and without taking his eyes off Scott, he reached his hand back to you, and you hesitated for a moment, before you took it, and he intertwined his fingers with yours.
āYou go on Scott. Sheāll be right there with you, we just need to arrange where weāll be going to for our date tomorrow.ā
Theo smirked at your brother, before turning to you, and placing a kiss on your forehead.
āWhat do you say, princess? You wanna go on a date tomorrow?ā

@cokecola4211 I didnāt want to have my imagine repeat itself from the previous one I did on Theo being the readerās mate, so I chose this method of doing this request, I hope you like it :)
I am torn over this novel. The writing is strong and the concept of werewolves is given a unique twist. The characters are interesting and the world building superb. I am planning to purchase the second book in the series on audible when I get my credit tomorrow. However, there the elements that make up a romance novel are hard to see, and there are some violence content warnings that I will put under a read more that make it very hard to for me to recommend this novel. It is up for a 2019 RITA award for best new author.Ā
Genre/Category: Paranormal
Major Trope: Werewolves, forced proximityĀ
Is He An Ass? No, Ti is a very complex character, but he is not an ass. He loves and supports the heroine (Silver) unconditionally, and thereās actually a really beautiful character arc for him. It is somewhat stifled because we only see it from the outside.Ā
Smut? Glowing. There are several sex scenes, not all of which involve simple D in V. I did appreciate that Silver being a werewolf factored into the smut. Sheās not quite human and it shows.Ā
Final grade: a tentative sure
Other thoughts? Iām putting them below a cut. CW for mentions of violence and emesis. Also a spoiler warning.Ā
This novel is very raw, and itās told entirely from Silverās point of view, in the first person. Sheās a runt, and itās refreshing to have a werewolf story not from an alpha wolf. I know a lot of previous pack dynamics stuff has been refuted by current research, but those tropes are alive a well in this book. The world building is superb and itās easy to fall into it.Ā
I loved the take of these werewolves being very wolfy, and the pups being pups most of the time, and having to learn how to human.Ā
Some of the wolves live in the city and pass as humans, but we donāt see this as Silver is a very wild wolf. I think the book series would have been better off with one of the city wolves being the first as a heroine. Silver is very not human, and from reading other reviews some of this book, readers can struggle to connect to her. I think I did fine, but if the viewpoint had switched between her and Ti, who is aĀ āshifterā and not a wolf, it would have again worked better to ease readers into the world instead of dropping us in willy-nilly.Ā
Silver being very wolfish means that by the end of the book thereās something that happens that was really off-putting. The werewolves have a law that if you kill something, you have to eat it. Silver kills a man trying to sexually assault her. And then eats him. That occurs off camera. What occurs on page is that she spends a while vomiting him back up. Thereās a lot of detail. I tend to think Iām pretty unflappable, and I found this disgusting and unnecessary. It occurred near the end of the book so I powered through but it makes the book hard to recommend. Exactly how do you ask a person if theyāre okay with this happening in a fictional narrative?Ā
I am also not a fan of the rather long prologue, set in a different time and place with different characters than the rest of the story. Youāre totally tossed in the deep end with little explanation for whatās happening, and itās kind of boring. A lot of readers are never going to make it past this. Confusingly, some of the modern characters have the same names of characters in the prologue, even though they are not the same people.Ā
Finally, there are the romance elements. Or lack thereof. I enjoyed the story, barring the above, and there is certainly a love story that occurs between Ti and Silver, but it takes second place to the mystery plot and developing the world and society of the pack. Both those things were fun to read, but I forgot the book was a romance at one time and expected Ti to die. Until I remembered itās being sold as a romance. Paranormal romance readers are most likely going to be disappointed because the romance is not emphasized like in most romance novels, and fantasy readers will probably think thereās too much sex and love.Ā
If youāre looking for something outside the usual, and have a strong stomach, this might be the book for you. Iād give it a solid 3 out of 5 stars. The writing is excellent, but much like her wolves, Ms. Vale is attempting to live in two worlds and not quite succeeding in either.Ā
Você aproveitou ao mÔximo essa vida linda, assustadora e confusa? Você deixou pra trÔs todo peso que carregava para que possa ficar com o que importa de verdade?
