He never allowed anyone to see him this bad. Isaac never wanted to show this side to the pack, especially Stephen or the pups-so for Kai to see this...well he couldn't stop the tears as he clung to the smaller male. The albino werehyena didn't say anything, just silently shed his tears while a rain storm that had been forecasted came pouring down.

It had been a rather rough day, the flashbacks wouldn't cease all day and he got into another fight with Dexter...

Eventually, the rain eased up as did Issac's tears. "Ah...sorry. The weather is affected by my emotions...and I got you soaked."

Tears of joy streamed down his face as he just held her, taking in her scent, studying her so that can burn everything into his mind. “Good, because if you dare I’m tracking you. I’ll hunt you down and kill the one who tore us apart.” Isaac meant every word too. He wasn’t going to let her slip through his fingers again.

He hasn’t felt at home since she left and Yun had smacked him so hard that it was a wake up call. The Abernathys are family, yes, they will always be family; but Nivea was home. That need to wander or do his usual self-destructive habits hadn’t reared so much since she was there; he had found his mate.  Isaac had found where he belonged.

“I want to be with you, Nivs. Wherever Life takes us, I just want to be with you.”

“Niv!” Isaac caught her as she tackled him and he swung her around before nuzzling her. And then...

He kisses her passionately, holding her close to him afraid she’d disappear if let go. “You’re never leaving my sight again, Nivea.” The werehyena had been a major wreck ever since she disappeared. He actually got into a knock-out dragged out fight with Aisha, he had a new scar from his former best friend despite how lucky he had been that Aisha hadn’t torn him apart. 

But right now, he was more focused on the white fox before him. “Never ever do that again.”

Exhausted from the searches, of hunting down Nivea’s ex and the source of why now the bastard started up again; Isaac couldn’t stay awake anymore. So he happily took Nivea’s advice as she led him to bed, cuddling next to her as his strong arms held her close. Even with her safe thanks Erebus and the Underworld keeping tabs on what went on in the shadows, he still held her close to him. 

Unlike Aisha, who was more of a human, Isaac was a beast at heart and he liked having his mate close not only should he need to react to any threat; but because her scent calmed him down. Ever since he took his hyena’s form to protect her from her ex, Isaac had found himself constantly watching her, getting distracted long enough that he had shocked himself by accident one time.

Settling down and taking a whiff of her scent, he relaxed. “I love you, Nivs. My Winter Sun.” he whispered before nodding off.

“I’m out here Souji.” Isaac called as he held his wine goblet while out on the patio. It was snowing, the woods were quiet, the stars shining brightly with the dancing lights of the tree downstairs. It had been quite a day, seeing the pups all excited that ‘Santa’ came, a few gag gifts from Maddie in a teasing manner, the food-but even then, Isaac felt a little left out because it was also his birthday. And yet, in true fashion, he never breathed a word.

He’s just sipping his warm mulled wine quietly at a quieter establishment, a little envious of the various couples he sees. Not only was the birthday boy drinking on his own, he was...well made to feel left out. Thus he was rather surprised when someone slipped into the booth.

Gods above, this girl was always giving him a headache... And yet, Isaac had been so relieved that he had been able to purchase her before anyone else could. Taking her hands into his, he examined her locks when he just then suddenly scooped her into his arms. “We’re going home.”

He walked out as if unseen, taking her back out into the alley where he had his car parked. Once he had her inside and buckled in, he then quickly got himself into the driver’s side before he spotted trouble. “Head down, Nivs. You do not want to see this.” he added when he summoned his fur cloak to wrap it around her frame.  Putting the car in drive, he kept a hand on the steering wheel as he took out his firearm and that was the shooting began.  Gunfire rang throughout the alley and then on the street as Isaac drove like a pro, avoiding other cars and fired his gun only when he had a clear shot. “Hang on Nivs. We’re almost clear.” He added as he did his best not to let out a maniacal laugh. His beast was thrilled with the bloodshed and yet he was just as equally concerned about Nivea’s safety.
