          he  leans  against  the  doorframe  and  simply  watches  for  a  while,  entranced  by  isaac’s  movements  and  the  way  they  hit  every  beat  with  precision  ;  it’s  only  when  the  song  finishes  that  samson  makes  himself  known,  clapping  as  he  moves  into  the  room  fully,  grin  prominent,   ❛             you  ever  thought  about  joining  the  dance  team  ?   i  could  put  in  a  good  word,  i  know  a  guy.   ❜

                    “oh, good! i found you,” he says, with all the bone-deep exhaustion of someone who’s been searching long-term, rather than someone who just stepped into the hallway, after a mid-day power nap. “i have an idea.” his lips split into a grin, clearly delighted with his subconscious’ ability to create content. “i think our next 7 wonders should be songs about fire. think about it! burning down the house, we didn’t start the fire, eternal flame! i’m barely scratching the surface, here! and, i think the hestia kids might like it. not that i’m pandering, or anything.” a beat passes, enthusiasm shifting into anticipation. “so...? what do you think? yes or hell yes?”
