Jasmine Thompson - Ain’t Nobody
-There's a worry line between Chris' brows. Peter has to fight the urge to smooth it out.-
I'll be fine. They want to broker this deal because they're scared of us. One week and I'll be back fully expecting a repeat performance of this morning.
-His ass still hurts from that performance and right now Peter wouldn't have it any other way. It also pulls a small smug smile from his husband so all goals have been achieved.-
Okay, KitKat. Can I get a kiss?
-Catori reaches over from where she sits in Chris' arms and kisses him with dramatic affect. This is the first time Peter's been away from her for an extended period of time.-
Love you.
-Luv ooh. That's new. Getting to hear his little girl tell him that she loves him. Peter will take that for granted about the same time he takes Chris for granted. Which is never. He's been ripped away too many times for Peter to not always have the lingering worry of when someone is going to pull out the rug from underneath this idyllic situation he's found himself in.
Peter kisses Chris next, getting his Love you and Be careful with a kiss to his forehead to send him off with. Then it's just him and Derek with Scott and Isaac waiting for their plane. If Peter was alpha of Scott's pack, he would have taken Stiles or Lydia personally. But then again he would have killed Isaac a long time ago. And taken his husband with him. But Miriam was understandingly limiting on the amount of pack permitted to go. Chris being such a well known hunter would have only caused added tension for this first meeting.
Peter knew going into this that he would have to be the one figuring out all the angles anyway. To be honest, he's looking forward to the challenge.-
-Derek pulls in the driveway after picking up some groceries to find...people...in his yard. An older couple, one mowing his yard on a riding lawnmower, the other standing watch by his trash can. Which had not yet been put out on the street when he left the house.
The hell?-
Um. Hi.
-Hi. I'm Mary. That's my husband, Tom, on the mower.
She literally does not offer anymore explanation than that. Derek's beginning to wonder if there's some kind of neighborhood curb appeal law that they've broken. But honestly if that were the case you would have thought the neighbors would have come out in droves to help paint the house when they first got it. And it's not like the grass was even long. So he's just confused. Really confused.
You should move your car.-
I'm sorry, what?
-Your car. We're gonna sweep the driveway once we're done.
And now they're bossing him around his own property. He's confused and annoyed and Leah's not here to fix whatever the hell this situation is.-
You really don't have to do any of this, you know. One of us always mows on the weekend. I'll have Isaac or Max come out and sweep the driveway.
-Go away, old people. Go enjoy your retirement away from my house with your strange unasked for helpfulness.
No, it's fine. Just move your car onto the street so it's out of our way.
Derek blinks, defeated. He moves his car. Thanks the strange random neighbors and retreats inside to get dinner started and get ready for work.
Isaac is peaking out the window.-
When did they get here?
-About an hour ago. They just showed up, riding that freaking huge lawn mower. She moved our trash out, Derek. Did we hire some kind of elderly lawn service or something?
Derek's glad he's not the only one disturbed by all this.-
No. I have no idea where they came from. -They both peak out the window. Derek shakes his head.- Nice people are weird.
-Isaac nods in agreement.-
Tove Lo - Habits
You're gone and I gotta stay High all the time To keep you off my mind
Bastille - Overjoyed
Tina Dico - Someone You Love
You came to me in peace I gave you what you wanted, but no more than just enough And now i'm on my knees Have mercy on my soul, I am here to return your love
-This is the last time he'll be at this school. He's done. Finito. It's a weird thought. Honestly, it's probably for the best with this school's track record of murder and mayhem. Much better for the whole living thing. Stiles is all about the living thing. But he survived high school. And werewolves. And really freaking painful heart breaks. Does he just do it all over again in college? God, he really hopes there's no were-whatevers at college. He already has enough on his plate. If he even goes. With everything that happened with Jesse and *holy god* Stiles can still not believe that actually happened, he's not going anywhere near the teleportation offer. This week has kind of sucked. A lot. But he's done a lot of thinking. And while ignoring things until they go away is sort of a life motto, Stiles decided to be honest with himself. He's attracted to Jesse. He is. The dude is seriously fucked up sometimes in ways that piss him off but...aren't they all these days? Not that it matters. Stiles isn't going anywhere near that thought now that he's acknowledged it. It's one thing to have a hard time getting over your ex. It's another thing entirely to move on by crushing on his boyfriend. Speaking of, though. Seeing Jesse is awkward. Especially because Jesse is with Danny and it feels like a big fat chalky elephant is sitting on top of all of them and Danny's the only one oblivious. Stiles hates that he's oblivious. It makes him nauseous. He also doesn't know why his brain made the elephant chaulky but there you go. It doesn't help that Allison very pointedly eyeballs him with her judgiest 'tell him or I will shoot an arrow in your ass' face the second he sees her. She's been calling him all week but he's been ignoring her. He knows she's right. And...he knows he's going to tell Danny. Just not today. He's not gonna ruin Danny's graduation on top of everything else. So Stiles keeps his smile and takes pictures with Scott and Isaac. Lydia and Jackson. His dad and Ellen. They all made it. And that's worth smiling about.-
