Sai's disappearance launched a million "Shindou loses his mind every golden week, Touya learns to deal with it" stories -- I vvvvv much cannot wait for the Shi Guang/Yu Liang version
I hadn't thought of that before but jesus yeah. Because the first time he disappeared seems to have been a conscious decision by Chu Ying after their argument, Shi Guang may be left wondering he did wrong for Chu Ying to leave him again and not come back. But even if he knows it wasn't his decision, he may believe his time had somehow run out and that he'd wasted six whole years he could have had with him... either way that's extremely painful.

What I like about him: he pays attention to his music. this sounds like a really basic thing but for someone so young, having that already is a good foundation. i’m impressed by his programs this season, they’re really good for a novice! i don’t think they’re easy but he pulls them off pretty well. i like when he puts little accents or flairs into his movements, idk if that makes any sense.
What I dislike about him: s l o w l y stalking his 3A and his weird posture going into it? i know he just started training it recently but i hope someone makes him break that habit. and he’s a bit…floppy. like he can’t hold his posture all the time and keeps bending over. i would like him to stiffen up a little without becoming stiff. it’s kind of a core thing? i’m very impressed by his programs and what he does with his choreo but i think he can go further with the actual performance aspect. and there’s a lot of other polishing up to be done but he’s only 13, he’ll get there.
Favorite costume: rach 3, but ditch the gloves

What I like about him: he’s capable of handling difficult choreo and different styles very well, he already skates like someone much older. his programs are full of transitions (usually of the not-pointless kind) and he has good SS. he reminds me of patrick - in a good way - but he’s less awkward than patrick was at that age. he’s a good performer when he puts his heart into it and he has fast spins.
What I dislike about him: idk when his posture got so bad but it was really so bad this season that it bothered me constantly? his shoulders are so hunched. and he telegraphs his 3A. hopefully he’ll fix all this when he isn’t permanently injured. he felt more “closed” than usual this season and i wonder how much of that was due to dealing with pain all the time.

Favorite exhibition/show program: i don’t remember them too well…can i pick peter and the wolf, i know that was actually one of his frees but he did it at the 2010 nats gala ok
