Isaga (Planet)
The planet Isaga (pronounced iss-ah-gah or ee-sah-gah) has slightly more water than earth, with closer to 80% of its surface covered in ocean (as compared to the roughly 70% of earth). It is also basically the same size, although slightly bigger.
Isaga is currently at the tail end of a minor ice age, with the last of the polar ice melting. Consequently, it is getting warmer.
The continents on Isaga are generally closer to the equator. Because of this, Isaga currently has lots of places with tropical and/or subtropical climate. The continents tend to be smaller and more isolated (similar to Australia on earth). There are also many islands, some of which are volcanic.
Isaga is the native planet of the Isagians.
((More messing around and trying to art. This is an incomplete piece which I have already put several hours into, and I am pretty happy with it so far. This is the first piece I started upon beginning to use my tablet again, so I decided to focus on something small and specific. So it is just a random isagian's eye.
I'm going to keep working on it, and you guys will probably see it again.))
((I've decided to post world-building and isagian-related works on this blog too, and I will denote anything that is OOC with double parentheses! That way this URL doesn't just sit empty.
Anyway, this is just a random isagian. I wanted to get some practice in. This was done in GIMP using my tablet, and took all of the afternoon and early evening. I'm not quite happy with it, since I feel like the shadows are off and don't do a very good job of showing the depth that would be caused by the facial structure. And I definitely just got lazy by the time I got to the background. That said, I think I did a good job with the highlights on her skin, I'm very happy with the whiskers, and I learned a lot from doing the ears.))
