I accidentally stumbled on a christian apologetics video that had the gall to claim that Isiah 53 is banned in most synagogues. Well seeing as Isiah 53 is about Isreal and not a messianic prophesy, this is just a bold faced antisemitic lie.

Christian apologists are scum.

Ugh, this piece of misinfo keeps getting circulated among the Christian right, it's so frustrating. And yeah, if you actually bother to actually read the chapters before and after, it's just so obviously not about Jesus at all. And yeah, Christian apologists are all practicing chicanery.

I took it down because it needed some extra work, and if I can say so myself - it has paid off. And, I wouldn’t have gotten very far if not for several beta/culture readers. You know who you are, and I love you for existing. Thank you for finding me here on Tumblr @goodomensafterdark and on Reddit. Most have come to me after starting to read it, and I am beyond grateful, honored and on the verge of tears for that.

Some people are angry at me for even daring to write this fic (though none of them have actually read it, as far as I know), due to its themes. That scared me for a while, and is most of the reason why I took it down, but a gang of die-hard readers and friends insisted I’d keep writing.

Yes, blah-blah-blah, but what is it about? Two students meet during a lecture at a university in a dystopian, future city and find they have a lot in common despite vastly different backgrounds.

TWs: All the E things, basically. Both realistic recreational drug use and addiction. Past trauma of most kinds, mentions of suicide.

But all shall be well in the end, for love is as strong as death.

The Suffering Servant

1 Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. 8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested?
