[For Kushami from Isana] Isana was on her way home to Suna, having just finished a solo mission in the Land of Lightning. It was a long trek back and she wasn't even halfway yet. She had decided to take a break by a small stream, drinking the cold water with her hands.
While taking a moment to rest, Isana thought about how grateful she was that this had been a /solo/ mission. She was really enjoying the peace and quiet of being by herself right now. Tired from the mission, which had lasted longer than expected, Isana just hoped her journey home would go smoothly with no additional incident to add to the travelling time.
Naturally, just as she had this thought, she sensed a presence nearby. Too close. Spinning around, a hand already unsheathing her katana, she narrowed her eyes to study the surrounding bushes. She could call out to whomever was there, but she would rather not engage if the person didn't wish to, either.
So she waited, eyes still trying to locate the source of the noise.
Kushami didn't know how long she had been running, but her uncalloused feet were painful and bleeding from all the running through twigs and leaves on the forest floor.
In fact, she'd been running long enough that the scary ninja probably wasn't following her anymore. But how could she be sure? She'd read about genjutsu and knew she could actually be running in circles and not know it. So she kept going--
At least until she went careening through the bushes into a stream, her feet splashing into the water. It felt good, soothing and sharp, but what surprised her more than that was... ANOTHER PERSON!
Her eyes wide, she saw a human girl! She couldn't recall ever seeing another human girl before, sheltered in that tower as she had been. So even though said human girl had a katana (to which Kushami backed up, hands raised), she still stared, squinting slightly.
