what is a creature that you desperately want to pet, but know you REALLY should not? (mine is vipers. they're so pretty and have cool looking textures, but. alas. The Venom.)

King Cobra (Ophiophagus hannah), family Elapidae, found in South and SE Asia

Venomous.

The largest species of venomous snake in the world, growing to a max. length of up to 5.85 m (19.2 ft).

That's how far away Temari steps when Isana reaches for her face. Sure, she's a fellow kunoichi of the Sand. Sure, they're fought side by side together. But that doesn't mean they're close enough that she wants anyone (read: anyone except her brothers or Shikamaru (!!)) her touching her face, yeah?

"No. It's fine," she says firmly, a grimace on her face. She wipes the blood from her face with her sleeve. "Just part of the job."

She considers this as exercising a great deal of restraint.

"Aren't you just the cutest thing?" Hand grips his jaw gently as she croons, tilting it, seemingly examining him though for unknown purpose. "Not many half-breeds venture into my kingdom, are you lost?"

It takes him a moment. Face-grabbing just... isn’t something he deals with a lot of. Face-punching, sure. Face-stabbing. Face-eating? Comes with the territory, but....

He frowns and jerks his chin out of her fingers finally, taking a small step back. 

“Your Kingdom?” he asks, eyes narrowed as he takes a second to examine her. There’s a familiar echo in his chest - instinctual. She’s definitely not human.
