I saved a life tonight.

I saved the life of a girl I consider a sister to me. She said she was done, she said she was tired. In this same night, I was already dealing with my own shit. I put that all aside for the past few hours for her. She cried, I cried. I told her it was all going to be okay, but this wasn’t the answer. I told her this isn’t the last conversation I want to have with her. There is so much more she has to live for. Do you know how hard it is to talk someone out of killing themselves? That was probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do. But I am so glad it was done. She unfortunately had already taken the pills, and she called me after to say sorry and that she loved me. Her sister is taking her to the hospital & she will have to get her stomach pumped. She admitted to me that she was being selfish and that she is sorry for what she did.

 I am just at a loss of words right now. I can’t stop crying. God is just amazing! He knew what He was doing when He placed me in her life. I hope she gets all the help she needs. I can’t lose another person to suicide. I am glad she chose to talk to me, I just feel blessed. Anybody who knows me, knows I don’t play when it comes to my friends. They’re all I have in this messed up world. I’m glad that they can come to me, and that I can go to them.

So this is for anyone who thinks that they can’t go on. You can, believe me.
