(Admit kitten pls, or whichever Admin really) Do you ever wish Kuronue was in the show rather than the Movie? I felt him to be FAR more interesting than Yomi. I mean you know his character is damn good whenever the one thing he was in is over 20 years old, and still continues to intrigue you. Wished he hadn't of died! I'll cry for the rest of my life.
Hello! Honestly I’m not sure I agree (respectfully of course!). But only because we just don’t know that much about Kuronue honestly; he’s only in Poltergeist Report, and the only real view we see is through Kurama’s memories. Kuronue sacrificed himself, I’m guessing during a heist, to keep Youko Kurama from going back to save him. I WOULD like to know what his pendant is though! It’s never elaborated on: where did he get it? How long has he had it? Did someone important give it to him? Is it magical? So that is one thing I’d like to know more about.
As for comparing him to Yomi, again I think it’s more a matter of, at least for me, knowing more about Yomi’s character and development than Kuronue. I enjoyed Yomi’s character personally, I thought he was a proper juxtaposition to Kurama’s personality. I also thought he had proper character progression from his time as a thief to the present, so we see him grow over time, even if it is through flashbacks.
Again, all this is my own opinion and I in no way want to diminish your own thoughts on Kuronue or Yomi :) the other Admins can give their own opinions on this as well if they wish!

This guy is still around?
I have no idea, I didn’t see any movie he was in so I didn’t know he existed before this lol
“He said that to you?”
Trouble Never Comes Alone
It wasn’t so much the blistering cold that him in a foul mood. Though, it certainly didn’t help. Lucian shrugged further into his coat, which could have had several more layers as it was doing a poor job of keeping the wind from biting into his skin underneath.
Of all the times for them to arrive. A snowstorm. Lucian shook his head and half jogged up to the porch of the old store where Pritchard had already retreated to. Lucian gave a glance back at the others tucked into the black SUV before shouldering his way inside.
It offered a respite from the wind, but it was hardly any warmer, or so he felt. He shoved his hands into the pockets of his coat and gave a look around. It was near empty, for anyone in their right mind would be back at home, preparing for a long winter’s stay instead getting out in the middle of it. He was aware of the glances, the whispers of those that happened to be inside, but this didn’t phase him--not anymore.
Not that he could blame them, they didn’t exactly look they were from around here. His boots made heavy steps against the floor as he approached the counter He didn’t smile, mainly because he wasn’t a very friendly person to begin with. “Hey, listen--we need a place to stay for the night, know of anything?”
“Weel, we don’t got no hotels or anythin’ like that,” the bearded man behind the counter said, his eyes sizing up the two newcomers. “What’s your business?”
“None of yours,” Lucian said, his tone even. “Is there anywhere we could stay?” he repeated. His patience was already growing thin, blame the cold, blame the situation, whatever it was--it wouldn’t last much longer.
“Ol’ Walsh’s place ain’t too far from here,” someone spoke up. “I can give him a call, let him know you’re heading his way. He’ll take you in.” Lucian gave a short nod and stepped back a few steps to lean back against the wall, arms folded over his chest. He didn’t say anything, only just allowed his eyes to roam the room. It could have been any one of them, or one of them knew about it, if they didn’t directly have something to do with it. “We’ll need to be careful. I’m not fond of getting asked questions after I ask one.” the big oaf behind the counter didn’t look the type to be involved in anything to do with the occult, but one shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover.
Riley slipped in with a shiver as she struggled a few moments to close the door. After having it shut, she leaned against it with a heavy sigh. Her cheeks were pink from being exposed and her blonde hair was in a disarray about her face. “Oh, it’s so cold.” she blew out a breath as she pushed back her hair back out of her face.
She wasn’t unaccustomed to cold weather, she had lived in New York all her life, but this was a painful cold, that biting word that tore into your clothes and pricked your skin, it was menacing.
Riley hunched down by the fireplace and wrapped her arms around her knees. She glanced up at Sterling who had come in just before her and shook her head. “I honestly had no idea how much work went into this place.” not that she’d ever doubted it took hard work, but nothing like this had crossed her mind. Even now, with it being the off season there was always something to be doing.
She glanced up at hearing the phone ring in the other room and frowned at Sterling. Who would be calling at this hour? It was unlikely anyone wanted to make a reservation--and now was not the time to be placing a social call. Riley strained to listen when Sterling’s grandfather finally picked up, but couldn’t hear anything definite, save a word here and there. She hoped there was no trouble, that was the last thing anyone around here needed.
“Wait, wait slow down,”
“What happened again?’
Lucian shut off the water with a sigh. Another long, long day was finally coming to a close. He stepped out and dried off quickly before slipping on a pair of grey sweatpants. He left his hair semi wet, not really feeling like messing with it when all he was going to do was just sleep anyways.
He emerged from the bathroom and turned out the light when he saw Sterling on the bed, several of his books surrounding her and holding one up to her face as if closely inspecting it.
He smiled and leaned against the doorway, sticking his hands into his pockets. “Are you judging me on my book tastes?” he asked with a smirk. “Have you been waiting long?”
He didn’t take that long in the shower but he wasn’t surprised that he hadn’t heard her come in. She had a way of doing that, getting around without making little to no noise. He almost out loud said that she could have joined him in the shower, but he held back. Not the time.
A New Addition
A wreck. That’s what he was.
A complete and total wreck. He anxiously tapped his fingers against his knees while bouncing his foot against the tiled floor. Lucian glanced towards the double doors. He wanted to be in there. Oh, how he wanted to be in there. Not that he could prevent anything if he was in there. Lucian glanced down at his shaking hands.
Okay, he understood why he didn’t need to be inside.
Lucian glanced over towards the other side of the waiting room. Well, it certainly didn’t help his already mounting stress. Amelia and Ori sat side by side on the couch, talking just loud enough for each other to hear but quiet enough to where he wouldn’t hear. What were they saying?
.....he wasn’t sure he wanted to know. He really didn’t want to think too hard about the two of them, not anymore.
His cell phone buzzed in his pocket. Upon retrieving it, he had a message saying that Riley and Pritchard were on their way. Great. One more thing he needed right now.
“Lucian? Luuuuc,” Amelia was saying. Lucian shook his head and focused on her now that she’d come to sit beside him.
“What did I say?”
She laughed softly and hooked her arm around his. Laying her head on his shoulder she said, “I was just making sure you hadn’t checked out on us. It’s going to be okay.”
He wished people would quit telling him that.
Riley skidded to a halt and smoothed herself over before she walked in. Oh, this was all so exciting. And terrifying if one thought about it hard enough. She was trying hard not to, as the idea gave her a near panic attack if she dwelled on it long enough. She looked over her shoulder and made a face. “Well, come on. I haven’t got all day to wait on you.”
