Hi! So I’m hard of hearing and I️ read lips. So I️ was wondering if you could do a scenario with Jin (and touya too if you don’t mind) where the reader is looking at their lips while they are talking and they think that the reader wants a kiss but she was just reading their lips. And maybe a confession ensues? Or however you wanna do it. 😁 thank you! ❤️

Jin:

He was talking a mile a minute, notthat it was anything out of the ordinary for the wind master. Still,it took some focus to try and keep up with his snaggle-toothed grinas he told you excitedly about a recent fight he had with a strongopponent.

“So there I was just mindin’ me ownbuisness flyin’ around on the breeze and outta nowhere this big uglyboy-o just JUMPS well I mean LEAPS up at me from the ground FROM THEGROUND and I was real real high up ya know it caught me off guard fora minute and-”

You were nodding your head inunderstanding to yourself, so focused on his quick mouth movementsthat you didn’t notice his eyes darting back and forth between theslight open pout of your lips and your eyes.

“uh…OK so there we were basicallyfightin’ in mid air it was a rush felt pretty good ya he was heavythough so I couldn’t get real high up like normal but..mm..”

You noticed him start to slow down,maybe he was being considerate to you trying to read his lips butthen he started moving closer…and closer..CLOSER!

You took a step back, afraid that hewas going to gently headbutt you or something, what was that allabout?

Jin looked confused, a blush creepingup on his face.

“Oh, oh no I messed up eh!? I saw youstarin’ at my face but more like my mouth I guess and I thought, ahsorry sorry I didn’t mean-” The blush was still peeking through,along with his embarrassment.

Oh my god he tried to kiss you, DUH!

“JIN! Oh, no no don’t apologize! Iwas just lip reading and was really focused because you talk veryfast sometimes and I didn’t want to…miss…um..” Now a blush wascreeping up on your own cheeks. “But…if you really want to kissme, you can. You know I like you, right?”

Jin’s pointy ears perked right uptowards the sky at that, his face nearly becoming the same color ashis firey hair. “REALLY?! Oh shit sorry I didn’t mean to yell thatat ya but ya really like me eh? I’m a handsome stud if I do say so-”

Before he could keep blubbering onnervously you pulled him in for a kiss, nearly getting blown away bythe gust of wind he created from excitement.

Touya:

It was just the two of you today, your mutual friends having their own plans. You didn’t mind though, it was always nice to have some one-on-one time with the ice master. You’d had a crush on him for a while now, but hadn’t worked up the courage to tell him. 

As pleasant as the conversation was, sometimes he was so soft spoken that you couldn’t hear him very well, causing you to focus on his lips so you could be sure not to miss any details of his story. 

“…Rinku and Chu can be such children sometimes, well I guess Rinku is still the youngest of us all but it’s not my job to babysit him when he decides to play mischief-maker. And Chu is his own handful, but if he gets into trouble it’s not really my problem.” Touya sighed, not so much in frustration as in exhaustion. It was nice to just sit down and catch up with you, though. You were far from annoying in his eyes and time spent with you could make him smile. 

You were reading his lips, listening to his gentle voice trying to pick up every word. His way of describing Rinku and Chu made you chuckle. “Even though it’s not necessarily a fun job, you are a good baby sitter.” 

He shook his head gently but had a faint smile on his face anyway, ruining his denial of your words. He continued on, feeling more talkative today than usual, so you had to lean in a bit closer to make sure you could read what he was saying. Sometimes a faint whisper of cold air could be seen on his breath, almost like a shimmering cloud…it was mesmerizing…

Before you had a chance to react, Touya had grabbed you gently by the chin and brought your lips up to meet his own, the heat of your mouth mixing with his cool lips. The embarrassment on your face must have been obvious, as he quickly pulled away, a pink blush starkly contrasting his monochromatic image. 

“I apologize if I misread your actions, I thought..you were looking at me so intently and-” 

You took a page from his own book and turned him around for a kiss of your own, pouring your feelings into this one wholly and without restraint. He placed a hand gently on your waist, sinking into the kiss. A misunderstanding turned into quite an eventful day.

Hey there! Could I get a drabble where Hiei's S/O breaks the news to him that the disease they have is going to kill them in the next year or so? How does he react? Thank you guys so much! :))

ANGST ANGST ANGST here wego! You didn’t specify a gender so i’m using they/them pronouns andyou didn’t specify human/demon so i’m going to assume a human s/o. Ihope you still enjoy it!!

This sort of got me outof my writing funk and is just, I love writing overly dramatic anddetailed stuff, setting the scene and mood and emotions with as fewwords as possible to get the message across. Give me the unnecessaryword fluff, please.

Todayshould have just been like any other day. It should have been good,it should have been average and normal. But it wasn’t, and it twistedyour insides into knots thinking about what you needed to do today.Needles bit the back of your throat every time you swallowed, like itwas swollen from anxiety and stress.

Youhad gotten the test results back from the doctor last week, and itwas like time had simultaneously stopped and quickened. Every dayfelt weighted, but your head was off in another space completely; youwere grounded in a reality that you wish didn’t exist, that existedfor someone else as terrible as that was. But was it really soselfish to want to…live?

Everyoneelse close to you knew at this point, you had broken down at homeafter the doctor visit and didn’t want to be alone, just neededsomeone else to be there and empathize with the pain. Hiei was stillin the Makai at the time, but he was coming back today, and today youhad to tell him. Your eyes were puffy from crying still, you hadn’tgone a day without breaking down so he would immediately know therewas something wrong. You couldn’t hide it, and you knew it, and theneedles still prickled your throat.

Itwas late when Hiei got back to your apartment, but you were upwaiting since he was never late after a long time away. Despite hisfickle nature with visiting others, his visits to you were alwayspunctual.

Heopened up the window from the outside and let himself in, since henever got used to walking in the front door like a normal person. Assoon as his head was inside he stilled, the air was thick anddisturbed and salty and he could taste it all…abnormal, somethingamiss. He spotted you sitting on the couch, looking at him with eyesthat were unfocused and red and puffy, the hand in your lap tremblingeven though it was summer. A smile ghosted your features, but it wasfilled with something tragic.

“Hiei,I’m glad your back. I’m -”

“What’sthe matter with you? Why are you in such a state?”

Itcame out harsh, but you knew he didn’t have any real bite to him, notafter the years spent together. He was just concerned, hisobservation skills lacking in nothing, and had his own severe way ofasking those straightforward questions. No getting out of thisconversation.

“Um…Iknow I look like shit, sorry. I’ve…Hiei something bad has happenedand I have to tell you even though it hurts to even think about but Ihave to.” Tears were prickling at your eyes again despite tryingyour best to hold them back, you’d have to buy yet another box oftissues later. You avoided his gaze which bore into you, spurring youto the truth. You could see him swallow and bite the inside of hischeek as he walked closer to you, not bothering to close the windowbehind him.

“Didsomeone harm you? Point me in a direction and you know they’ll bedead before morning.” He stood over you, but he wasn’tintimidating, not anymore. He would come to your rescue no matter howloud his internal protests to helping others he cared about.

“No,no…I’m not hurt…well, I kind of am I guess. Hiei…I went to thedoctor last week and they told me that, that I’m sick. As in, I’mvery ill…” Your voice trailed off into a whisper, the words likefire on your tongue ready to scald you if you said them aloud, makingthem real.

Hiei’sexpression changed from one of anger to something else, something hewas trying to prematurely process and it came out looking like aconfused deer. He bent down and cupped your chin in his bandagedhand, forcing you to look him in the eyes. You felt disgusting withdry tears on your face, but you’d seen him in much worse state in thepast, so this should have been nothing. His fingers were callousedand rough, but the touch was gentle.

“You’reill? I’m going to assume there’s more to ‘I’m sick’ if this is yourcurrent mental state. Just tell me what it is.”

“I’mgoing to DIE soon, Hiei!” The words were out before you evenrealized what you said, cupping a hand over your mouth even thoughyou couldn’t take them back. Hiei didn’t move, but he did swallow.You could feel his own needles.

“No,you’re not. Don’t be foolish, whatever doctor you went to must havebeen in malpractice. If you’re absolutely sure you’re sick I’ll takeyou to a doctor in Makai who would actually know what they’re doing.”Straight into denial, but you couldn’t tell whether or not he wasbelieving his own words.

“Thisis the second doctor I’ve been to. She confirmed what the first onesaid…Hiei I only have about a year to live according to their data,I - “

Hieistood up abruptly and turned so his back was towards you. He ran ahand through his hair, but you could see the other in a tightlyclenched fist. There would be blood on your floor if he didn’t stopsoon.

“Howdo you feel in this moment, right now? Physically.” His questionwas barely audible, but you cleared your throat for your answer.

“Ifeel…OK. I’d noticed things off for a while, symptoms graduallybecoming more bothersome…I’m not bedridden or anything like that.I’m honestly just tired, at this point I feel as though I could sleepfor days. But those would be days….wasted.”

Hieicraned his head towards you, turning just enough to look at you. Hewas very good at telling when people were lying or exaggerating, andyou were doing neither. The needles were inside him now, eating awayat his apathetic resolve. He finally let someone in, and of course itwas his fucking luck that life would take them away. But he wassupposed to die, wasn’t he? How many times had he escaped death atthis point? He wasn’t going to let you waste away into nothingwithout doing everything, every opportunity, to give you the strengthto do the same. He could not crumble when he could see you breaking.

“Nodays where you are here would ever be wasted, don’t let me hear sucha defeatist attitude. You are not weak, and something like this willnot break you. You are here now, and even if that time is…” thewords lingered on his tongue, “limited, it is still worth living.”

Ifanyone could whip you into some type of fighting spirit, it was Hiei– maybe Yusuke as well if he wasn’t being an ass. For the firsttime in days, a smile ghosted over your features. You had all butgiven up, but Hiei would not, and he would be the last to back downat an invisible enemy. You stood up, your legs a little wobbly fromsitting in the same position for several hours, walking over to himand giving him a proper 'welcome home’ hug, the tighest one you couldmuster.

Hewas stiff in your arms, it was like a mechanism that never truly shutdown to give way to vulnerability. After a few moments though he letout a breath hot against your neck and leaned his head against yours.

“Thanksfor the kick in the ass, I’ve been needing it.”

“I’llkick your ass even if you don’t want me to.”

“Shutup, hothead. But I’m counting on it.”

Dang I really enjoyed writing that. Hiei isn’t a fluffy person or easy person to love, and his affection is tough to swallow.

The Office AU

God help me, I’ve been mulling this over for a while after rewatching The Office (american version) for the 10th time. I often rewatch things that have a lot of seasons so that I can get work done because I already know what happens, it’s still entertaining, and I can multitask while listening. 

So I have some AU thoughts on who in the YYH universe would be The Office characters...roughly. Some don’t exactly fit the characters, but I think they can fill a spot in Dunder Mifflin. 

Michael Scott, Regional Manager: Koenma. Everything is very similar except Koenma isn’t as horribly offensive with bad jokes and impressions. He does want everyone to like him and think he’s the super cool amazing boss, though.

Jim Halpert: Yusuke. We saw this coming, the office prankster. Someone who does work with the absolute minimal effort to get by. Laughs way too loud for an office setting. Does not iron his shirts, does not own an iron. He is very charismatic on the phone, though, and manages to have dedicated clients. 

Dwight Schrute: Kuwabara. He is simultaneously Yusuke’s arch enemy and best friend. They bicker constantly, and Kuwabara can never get back at Yusuke for the literal ton of pranks he has pulled. He is the office cat lady and has a live feed of Eikitchi playing on his monitor. He is extremely efficient at his job, though, since his older sister would kill him if he botched it since she helped him get hired. 

Pam: Keiko. She’s very similar to Pam in the show. Quiet but polite to everyone. She has higher aspirations than secretary and would like to work in sales, but right now there aren’t any more positions open at their locations. She’s secretly dating Yusuke, and keeps him from completing more of his offensive office pranks. She also loves office gossip and takes night classes in business school. 

Ok, here’s where we’ll deviate...

Kurama is a bit like Oscar in Accounting in that he mostly keeps to himself and enjoys his work, doesn’t really cause any trouble. He does have an inhuman amount of plants on his desk and he sometimes gets complaints about. Koenma will come over and touch his plants and talk to them like a baby, then walk away like nothing happened. Kurama is one who starts the Finer Things Club. 

Hiei is some ungodly combination of Stanley’s inability to give a shit at any given moment and Creed’s...Creedness. He eats some type of meat for every single meal, Yusuke has been counting the days since he’s seen Hiei eat vegetables - so far it’s 42 days. The only reason Hiei is here at all is because his sister works here and got him the job and it would break her heart if he slacked off too much. Sometimes he helps Yusuke with pranks, other times Yusuke is terrified of the definitely illegal ideas Hiei comes up with. He keeps various weapons in his desk at the ready. Don’t tell HR. 

Yukina is Customer Service, aka Kelly. Her kindness makes her the perfect person to deal with unhappy customers and quality issues. She got the job at Dunder Mifflin first, and talked with Koenma about offering a job to her brother who was struggling to find work due to his...disagreeable nature. She has a crush on Kuwabara, but knows Hiei will start a literal fire if he finds out. Hiei and Kuwabara do not get along. 

Genkai is  Vice President for Regional Sales, aka Jan. She’s a hardass and comes by unannounced all the time to give Koenma a hard time about slacking off and inefficient workers. She’s been at Dunder Miffling a long time. She could easily move up into a higher position, but enjoys monitoring the underlings too much. She thinks Yusuke is a god-awful slacker, but sees his potential past all the stupid pranks. 

Botan is also in accounting. She used to be in Customer Service but was moved to Accounting because she was too agreeable - she wouldn’t put up with a unhappy customer and it caused problems since she promised things they couldn’t actually go through with. She transitioned into her position well and keeps posters of baby animals in her cubicle. She gets along well with nearly everyone, though she compares Hiei to a grumpy stray cat.

-w- Just cause I wanna mess with him can I have a scenario where Youko Kurama starts to take romantic interest in a human woman, but when he tries to charm her she is completely unfazed and even blows him off?

Strong women are my weakness, fyi. 

I’m setting this sometime between Raizen’s meeting with Yusuke’s ancestor and the present. I don’t think Youko would readily venture into the human world, so we’re adjusting the timeline to something that makes a little more sense.

“I cannot believe this...” Youko Kurama was frustrated, which could be a first in his personal life. He was powerful, cunning, intelligent, sneaky, not to mention incredibly handsome. He could have anyone he wanted...but this SINGLE WOMAN was not going to be swayed easily...or possibly at all. 

Kurama normally did not bother with humans - he considered them weak and stupid, and had nothing in terms of treasure or wealth that was worth stealing over anything demons owned. 

While moving their camp to a new location to avoid detection, they passed by the outskirts of a human village. Youko Kurama led his team of bandits, knowing the best areas to set up camp where they could hide without being found while they plotted their next heist. Although this time, something - or someone - caught his striking golden eyes. How bizarre...it made him stop only briefly to watch her hair fall over her shoulders. She was giving orders to other humans in the field picking food and plowing for a future harvest. She stood with authority, which was bizarre since most settlements were patriarchal. 

“Hey Kurama, what are you....ooooh I see.” Kuronue followed behind Kurama and looked over past the treeline to see what had stopped his leader. “You could have her if you wanted.”

“I know I can, and I may before the week is done.” Kurama licked his lips suggestively, making note of their currently location before continuing on to their empty camp. 

It took several days to set up camp and make sure everyone had their roles. Some were to gather food, others were to keep watch for enemies, and higher ranking members were plotting a future heist in one of the bigger tents. Kuronue kept everyone out of Youko Kurama’s tent, claiming he was very busy. But only he knew that the tent was empty, and probably would be for the rest of the night. 

Kurama had returned to the spot where he spotted the woman a few days prior. It was late evening so everyone must be in their homes, either asleep or turning in for the night. He had no trouble slipping past watchmen and peeping into windows in attempt to catch glimpse of the woman. It didn’t take him long to find her home. It seemed she lived alone, no children or husband could be seen. He slipped in through the back door easily and silently. 

“Ah, I figured you’d show up.” 

A voice nearly startled Kurama in the dark of the home. The woman he saw from the field walked in from another room, candle in hand. She was more beautiful close up than she was far away. Youko Kurama always got what he wanted. 

“You aren’t hard to spot, even past the trees, with that white hair of yours.”

“Hmm, how perceptive of you. And how brave to wait up for a Youko.” He stood contrapposto, his tail whipping back and forth, powerfully long arms crossed across his lean chest. 

“If you think I’m impressed you are mistaken. I’m only here to make sure you didn’t break anything on your way in.” Her eyes didn’t betray her words. They showed no fear, nor honestly any interest in the powerful demon in front of her. This was...startling, but Kurama didn’t let it show. 

“Oh, is that so? I could easily break you if I so wanted.” Kurama winked at her, surely that would get-

“I’ve had a long day, if you’re done you know the way out.” She turned on her heel and walked back inside the dark house, leaving Kurama standing alone in front of the door. 

This...this was unheard of! Women and men alike would lay down at his feet, no one ever denied him. He would accept this challenge, and woo this woman into submission; treasure often came in many unexpected forms and places.

Hey, everyone. I’d like to personally apologize for being very absent from the blog this year. I love writing for YYH, i’ve been in this fandom probably half my life. I enjoy filling out the requests from all you lovely fans and followers. But sometimes you have to step away. 

I have a full time job where I’m at work 10-11 hours a day 5 days a week. I have my own art business outside of my office work that I’m trying to get going that I do on my own time. I have been going to therapy and dealing with anxiety and severe issues regarding my relationship with certain people in my family and the stress that comes with trying to step away from one of your parents for your own mental health. 

I honestly just haven’t had the time or energy to be creative or productive in writing for a while and I apologize because there are asks and requests sitting gathering dust and I can’t get myself to write them out. Sorry, guys. Just give me some time. I’ll have a break from work mid-April so hopefully I can get my life shit in order by then. Thank you for your patience.

DRAMA BOMB INCOMING!

Ithad been a few weeks since the three of you had met up, but youmanaged to pull them away for a proper friendship session. You hadsome things planned: coffee at a cafe nearby, a movie that you andKurama had talked about seeing, and something more Touya-specificsince he was picky about preferred entertainment.

Yourounded the corner and saw the two of them talking outside the cafeyou agreed to meet at. They looked kind of agitated, were theyfighting or something?

“Youknow I will fight you for her.”

“I’maware, and you would not win. I defeated you in the Dark Tournamentand I will gladly do so again.” Kurama’s piercing emerald eyes werejust as startling and Touya’s ice cold stare. They were so wrapped upin mental chivalry that they didn’t notice the object of theiraffections come around the corner.

“Hey,guys! Is everything ok? Don’t tell me that you were fighting, todayis supposed to be a fun day together..”

“Ah,it’s great to see you again.” Touya immediately turned off hisaggressive stance and looked warmly – as warm as an ice demon could- at you.

“Likewise.And no, of course there’s no issue. We were merely having adiscussion on demon world matters.” Kurama’s eyes sparkled as thewords fell from his delicate lips.

“Jeez,you guys are so damn pretty, how are you both still single?! Maybewe’ll find a perfect match today on our outing!” She was so pleasedwith the possibility that her daydreaming distracted her from thedramatic looks Kurama and Touya exchanged. If one confessed, theother would too, and that would cause a fight, and she would be upsetat the fighting since she doesn’t like to be the center of attentionand so on and so on.

Beforethey could reply – or start bickering again – you pulled themboth into the cafe. Touya of course ordered whatever was coldest onthe menu, some type of iced coffee. Kurama got something cool andaromatic, some type of floral tea. You got your favorite –something with a lot of chocolate. You brought up to Kurama the way the lady at the counter looked at him with googly eyes and he should get her number, but he shrugged her off as not his type. 

It was so great to see them again, you were so focused on conversation that the looks between Kurama and Touya were totally lost on you. 

“Oh we better hurry, the movie is starting soon.” You grabbed up both of their arms and walked a few blocks to the movie theater. The ideas of movies was still odd to Touya but you were glad he got to experience them with you. 

Kurama and Touya sat on either side of you. Touya seemed on edge surrounded by so many people, but he seemed to like the popcorn you had sitting on your lap. A couple of times he and Kurama reached for popcorn at the same time and jumped at the touch. During the most interesting parts of the movie - while you were unaware - Kurama and Touya also tried the old ‘arm around the shoulders’ gesture, but ended up getting into an extremely subtle slap fight behind your head. 

“Wow, that was pretty good. Not the best thing I’ve seen this year, but not too bad! So, Touya, it’s your turn to pick our final event for the day. We can do whatever you wanna do, uh, within reason. Nothing crazy expensive and obviously nothing far away.”

“Is there anywhere here that’s cold?” He had a comfort zone and he was sticking to it. 

“Cold…hmm..Kurama do you know of somewhere super cold?” You looked at the guy who always had the right answer, but he looked almost embarrassed, like he didn’t want to answer almost. 

“Well…the only place I can think of as appropriate would be the ice rink that opened a few weeks ago..”

“Oh my god that’s perfect! LETS GO!” You pulled up directions on your phone, letting Kurama and Touya walk a ways behind. 

“Have you ever been ice-skating before? Or is that too mundane for such a master?” Kurama eyed Touya with mischief in his emerald eyes. 

“…of course I have, don’t be foolish. I will defeat you in ‘ice skating’ and show her that I am superior.” He was obviously lying, and Kurama knew it. This could turn to his advantage. 

…..

Too bad Touya was a natural on the ice, even without any practice. 

“Woah, Touya, you’re so good! Heeey, someone’s staring at you over there, they’re pretty impressed too. You should introduce yours-” You were interrupted by falling flat on your face. Kurama and Touya were way better at skating than you were, but they were at your side in a second helping you up. 

“Are you all right?” they asked simultaneously. Touya had your right arm, Kurama helped you up on the left. 

“Yeah, sorry, I haven’t skated since I was little but heh I thought it was like riding a bike, you never really forget…guess that’s not true.” 

“All it takes is practice, you’re doing fine.”

“Yes, no need to worry.” 

“You guys are such great friends...why are you still single?!”

Hello! Love your blog! Very happy to have found it. Could I please get a scenarios of Youko / Kurama x reader where he is jealous (maybe possessive / protective if you want to expand) Its up to you guys and also if the reader could be female. Thank you so much!

Not sure if you mean Youko or Kurama, since I would personally put Kurama in his human body and Youko in his demon body before he is reborn in human world. I’ll go with Youko since we mostly get human Kurama asks :) sorry for the wait!

The past few weeks had been strange. Youko was usually good about giving you time to yourself and wasn’t possessive at all, it was a matter of trust that had taken many years to build. But now? It seemed like he couldn’t be bothered to leave you alone for more than a few hours. 

“Hey, what’s been up with you lately? You know I’m not the social butterfly you are and I like time to myself so what’s will all the clinging?” You swatted his hand away from playing with your hair - he was the only one who was allowed to touch your hair, and vice versa. 

“It has nothing to do with you, no need to worry.” He was dismissive of the comment, but his hand was still mid-air with a few lingering strands of your hair laced between his fingers like delicate vines. 

“I’m not blind and don’t treat me like it has nothing to do with me since this is direct AT me. You’re acting almost...jealous? The famous Youko Kurama, insecure? Unheard of.” You started to laugh, but the uncharacteristic look in his eyes out of your peripheral vision made you stop. 

“Listen, my love. It is not you I distrust, not at all and never will I do so. However we are a large band now, and every single bandit here will know that I am yours and you are mine. I see the hungry eyes of new recruits and I will gladly have my plants devour them whole if they so much as lick their lips.” His words rang true, the group had gotten bigger recently, though time flowed differently for demons because of their long life spans. Maybe it was because you only had eyes for Youko, that you were focused on becoming stronger and planning future missions that the stares of others went unnoticed. 

“As much as I appreciate the gesture of mutual ownership, I can kill them myself. You know I would never let anyone lay a hand on me, or anyone else in the group, if it was unwanted.” You took his clawed hand in your own and gently kissed over his rough knuckles.

“You’re right, as always. I’ll back off, I think all the males understand by now that I am the king of this band, you are my queen, and nothing shall part us.”

I don't see enough love for Kuwabara in fandom so maybe a reader/kuwabara for the random starters with reader saying "how come there's no goddamn apples?"

So sorry for this being so late! Hope you enjoy!

“Are you sure this is...”

“What? Yeah of course I’m sure! I know what I’m doin...” Kuwabara was covered in flour and sugar while wearing some kind of apron with kittens on it that he definitely bought himself. He had been watching a lot of baking shows recently and wanted to test his hand out at baking an apple pie. 

You were today’s guinea pig. 

“So why apple pie? I don’t know, pie seems kind of hard for someone who’s never baked before?”

“I mean I know you like apples and it didn’t seem too hard, at least not at first...”

“You baked this pie for me?” Suddenly it didn’t seem like such a bad food experiment. Kuwabara was such a sweet guy, but he wasn’t the best cook. The last time he tried cooking you something it somehow ended up dripping from the ceiling. 

You picked up your fork and dug out a piece. Eikitchi popped her fuzzy head up on the other side of the table, staring at you with judging kitty eyes. She would be able to see the truth, if you didn’t like the pie, and she would definitely scratch you later. Kuwabara mirrored Eikitchi’s look of anticipation. You stuck the fork in your mouth and chewed. 

Uhm...

“Hey, Kuwabara?” You managed to swallow this first bite of pie. 

“C’mon is it that bad?”

“I mean...how come there’s no goddamn apples?” A look of complete bewilderment appeared on his face.

“What do you mean ‘where’s the apples’ it’s an apple pie I used like a ton of apples!!”

“Dear, there are zero apples in this pie. Tastes more like...pears? Maybe? I’m not sure, but you did not use apples for this pie.”

Kuwabara grabbed a fork and dug it into the pie, slamming a big bite into his mouth to prove you wrong. A bead of sweat dripped down his face after a few seconds of chewing. Oh no.

“No apples hmm? That’s what I thought. I mean it’s not a bad pie, I’ll still eat it. It’s not a big deal.” Kuwabara had this awful look of dejection on his face, though. 

“No no no, ok how about this. We can go this weekend and get some actual apples and make a pie together, hm?” That seemed to perk him up a bit. 

“Really? Yeah, yeah I’d like that! Eikitchi needs some new cat toys while we’re out, too...” Eikitchi was happily licking up the dirty fork on the table, at least the cat didn’t know the difference between pears and apples.
