the way i am SUCH a flowers fan should be studied. all of their muses have their own unique voice and style, like you can tell who they're writing from the way a thread reads, the vocabulary, the way they speak and what they notice/point out/focus on in a scene. also love it when they yap in a thread cause you just know they've got some good shit to say

there's such a rhythmic flow to aphelion's threads. like they're so good at the composition in writing, word choice and sentence length, structure, etc. coming together to make something that's almost musical. her formatting really helps to push it that little extra bit too

tim snorts as he rounds the tree, not surprised rian had sensed him following. "ain't my fault you believed that shit, i barely even tried to lie." he moves silently over the dead grass and leaves on the ground, his boots barely rising off the ground, he's learned to move silently a long time ago and even though rian is the most dangerous things in these woods and even though tim knows he wouldn't hurt him, it's second nature. "you leave all mysterious, like you're gettin' hunted or something and expect me to stay behind? shit you don't know me at all, do you?"

Why did Morgan go get himself infatuated with a cowboy?

"More than a promise." He says slyly back, though it may not be his best all-round performance. He's been behind Rian on Reaper for what feels like days, and his ass is sore and his legs are sore and it kind of feels like he won't be able to stand up straight again.

(Not, of course, that any of that would stop him from making his way into Rian's bedroll. Maybe he's simply just glad there's no one else around to see him walk tomorrow).

     peter has never liked horses— not out of hatred but out of sheer intimidation. much like how spiders freak him out for having far too many legs, horses simply have too much muscle for him to be okay with being near them. the look he gives reaper is decidedly wary, his feet pointed inwards as he remains on the other side of the pen.

     ❛ i didn't lie, i just got overzealous... ❜ a lame mumble as he leans against the fence and rubs awkwardly at his arm. there's a little bit of frustration in it. when he'd originally made the claim, peter had felt as if he was on track to conquer one of his fears. after all, he doubts an animal in rien's care would stomp him to death unless he truly pissed it off. now, though... now he feels rooted to the spot, brown eyes big and round as they stare helplessly at reaper. the name feels correct.  ❛ ... ugh, can't i just get away with a nod of acknowledgement? like, a 'when you and a stranger make unintentional eye contact from across the street' sorta thing...? ❜

Tim wants to say that he growled or snarled, that he shoved at Rian's shoulder with all his strength to push him away, that he did something besides open his mouth and bare his throat. It had been so long since another man had touched him the way he wanted. "Oh, fuck." That single moment of weakness certainly revealed more than Tim wanted.

But Rian called him handsome, didn't he? Rian smiled at him and looked at him when Tim was working, right? So he settles his hands on Rian's shoulders without shoving. "What's your plan here?"

Morgan is wearing a stupid, silly little grin.

"I've got something for you." And no, it's not the brand-spanking new hat on his head, holding the loose waves of his hair back from his face. It's something entirely more impractical, given who Rian is and how he lives his life.

Still, Morgan can't think of anything more from his heart to give the other.

"Close your eyes."

his laugh don't sound right even to his own ears, part bark and part yell, and the smile that comes along with it makes him seem more a feral dog then a boy brought in from the cold. oh well, you can't always fight your nature, and tim likes to think that rian understands that. he leans forward, his hand shoving at the other man's chest, more force than it looks like he should have in the movement, tim's always been small but he's stronger than he looks.

"that so? how much more it gonna take to push you off a damn cliff?" he can't take this seriously, can't feel fear or regret, all he can feel is the need to needle and shove, to make rian hate him.
