New Anamorphic set from Schneider-Kreuznach x Dulens #ISCO4all

Hey Filmmakers Chung Dha here, a very interesting new Anamorphic lens set coming out from Schneider-Kreuznach partnering with Dulens. Basically Schneider-Kreuznach is making an anamorphic single focus adapter, while Dulens supplies the taking lenses. My "ANAMORPHICS" so far! From the top: FM FOCUS MODULE - not actually an anamorphic lens, but a focusing module for some of the lenses below! SCHNEIDER CINELUX - I have 2 versions of these, but especially there are 2x projection lenses that are perfect lenses for FM as they are impossible to pull focus with. PROSKAR-16 - my first ever anamorphic adapter, also a projection lens with 2x stretch. Dual focus setup, nice character but pain to focus with. Can be used with FM for single focus setup. ISCO WIDE-SCREEN 2000 - my only 1.5x stretch lens. It doesn't have a focusing ring and can be used as part of a single focus setup. CENTURY 16:9 - my only 1.33x lens, the only lens out 4 that is actually designed for a camera rather than a projector, but it works in a similar way to ISCO as all the focusing is done with the taking lens. We recently purchased an Iscorama 36 MC anamorphic lens and it has quickly become our favorite lens. We're finding the look of anamorphic to be a refreshing change from the "Canon L" glass look. The bokeh stretches differently. The light flares differently. The lens vignettes a bit. The focus is softer.

We paired a variety of "taking" lenses with the Iscorama to see what looks and speeds were possible. Each had its own quirks. We were interested in letting the image be imperfect to see what "soul" could be found...

Camera: 75% Canon 5D Mark III (mostly the first half) 25% Blackmagic Cinema Camera (mostly the latter half)

Lenses: Vivitar 28mm 2.5 M42 mount Iscorama 50mm 2.8 M42 mount Canon 85 mm 1.2L

Adapters: Genus 77mm variable ND filter (used on probably 90% of the shots)

Graded in Premiere with Colorista II and the built in Adobe curves tool. This is obviously not a scientific lens test. We just wanted to see what the lens "felt" like and found lots of excuses to point it at the sun.
