Tensei shitara slime datta ken is another fucking isekai, but it actually doesn’t seem terrible. First, instead of Truck-kun it has a random guy in a hoodie just blindly running forward with a knife out, determined to stab literally anyone. Also, he uses his last words to tell a friend to blast his cache. Breaking conventions *and* giving us a relatable MC, all before he even goes to isekai. The animation is 0% CG and much better than it has any right to be, the characters are likable, overall it’s basically comfy Overlord. It does rip off that anime with the slave girls’ gimmick of ripping off The Gamer, but other than that and the original sin shared by all isekai shows it’s not bad.

I'm caught up on I Reincarnated as a Minor Villainess and Survived Past My Death Scene by @thaiteaaddict and I'm obsessed. I really didn't expect to love this genre as much as I do! Highly recommend it, even if you know nothing about Gundam Wing.
