We’re marking this solemn holiday, which was started in 2000 by the Institute of Business Technology, with a can of our finest compressed air and this ca. 1980s photograph of an IBM Personal Computer. This photograph was created by the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), and came to the Hagley Library by way of our collection of Chamber of Commerce of the United States photographs and audiovisual materials, Series II. Tensei shitara slime datta ken is another fucking isekai, but it actually doesn’t seem terrible.  First, instead of Truck-kun it has a random guy in a hoodie just blindly running forward with a knife out, determined to stab literally anyone.  Also, he uses his last words to tell a friend to blast his cache.  Breaking conventions *and* giving us a relatable MC, all before he even goes to isekai.  The animation is 0% CG and much better than it has any right to be, the characters are likable, overall it’s basically comfy Overlord.  It does rip off that anime with the slave girls’ gimmick of ripping off The Gamer, but other than that and the original sin shared by all isekai shows it’s not bad.
