you asked me what had happened to my arm when i rolled up my sleeve. what you saw was me at my weakest point, but instead of explaining i laughed it off and told you "im not good in the kitchen" because it isnt a lie and i have found thats the best excuse if someone asks. youre too young to understand but it didnt keep you from asking and it made me feel vulnerable.
imaginary wolves and foxes chased me as a child, tricked me into submission. i never thought they would follow me into my teens in the form of shadows of people with sharp teeth and glowing eyes
