Y’know I can’t even remember when we started interacting. But I know I’ve followed you around through all the blog switches and reboots. Because I love Asmo to bits. And Daniel too, even if I don’t think he and Vanora have ever interacted?? Or at least not substantially. You write Asmodeus beautifully, and I can’t quite put into words how much I enjoy him. Sassy and languid and mischievous and just one big ball of yes. He keeps Vanora on her toes, and she can be shameless and indulge her darker instincts around him. The many forms of gifts are more than worth the occasional favor. Even when it doesn’t involve work he’s so entertaining...and sometimes it’s a little hard to remember that he’s actually really, really dangerous and volatile. Probably because Vanora and I love him so much. And you my dear are a lovely, kind person <3

💋: How easily are they tempted?

     Not very easily. Vanora grew up in a world of excess, with anything and everything she wanted at her fingertips. As a young girl any sort of pretty things would tempt her, any sorts of gifts. But as she grew up she realized that the most tempting things weren’t physical. Even when Vanora is tempted, which isn’t terribly often, she’s had a lifetime of learning to process the temptation, weigh her options, and then act on it. If it’s going to get her into trouble, it’s probably not worth giving in to.

⛨: What would they sacrifice their life for?

     I’m not actually sure about that. It would either be someone she cared greatly for--a lover, a friend, family--or an ideal that she was committed to. Though I’m not actually sure what would qualify on that last one. I think someone is more likely than something.

1. If Vanora was a little more sadistic and a little less about being in control at all times, she would be perfectly content to let Asmo wreak havoc on Tevinter willy nilly. Just fuck with everyone while she picked her way through the aftermath of his fun and took what she wanted. Obviously, the people on her shit list would go first, but seeing him let loose would be something indeed.

2. Although they’re relaxed around one another and friendly, Vanora is under no illusions that they’re lifelong chums, or that she doesn’t need to worry much about him. Asmodeus is extremely powerful, and a bit fickle--should she misstep she’s well aware that it could be the end of her. She’s not as uptight about it as she was in the beginning, but it’s something that always lurks in the back of her mind. They get along, and their relationship is mutually beneficial, but she fears that one day it will cease to be so.

3. Vanora likes her life in Tevinter, her power and her position, but she finds herself jealous of Asmodeus on occasion. He has all the power he needs, but none of the social or political obligations she does. He’s a free agent, able to do whatever he likes whenever he wants. It isn’t a constant feeling, but she has days where she very much envies him.

4. Even though he’s got dangerous ass claws, and a tail, and isn’t the most polite creature around--he is a good cuddler. It seems like an odd trait for a demon to have, but between the warmth and the care taken to avoid slashing her to bits on accident, he’s not a bad person to share a bed with. Depending on the circumstances, of course. Combine that with his lack of boundaries and you get the only person to share Vanora’s bed.

16. Upsidedown kiss

   She’s going through one of her closets, sifting through the seemingly    endless racks of garments, looking for something appropriate for a tea    with a relative of the Archon. Not a particularly close relative, but a    relative nonetheless. An important stepping stone. On her bed, torso    hanging off the edge and hair tickling the floor, Asmodeus watches her.    Occasionally he’ll comment on something she pulls out, deeming it    boring or too conservative.

   When she finally pulls one out that she likes, one of her newer dresses    that she has yet to wear, he approves. One long finger lifts up, pointing    towards the hutch where she keeps most of her jewelry.

       "The one on the top.”

   The necklace in question has no stones, but makes up for it in intricacy.    Pulling it down, she holds the two together, lips curling up in a grin. When    the dress and necklace are set down again, she leans over, pressing a kiss    to Asmodeus’ lips from above.

       “What would I do without you? How dull my life would be.”

He snorts, unhelpfully, clasping a hand over the quivering line of his mouth. His eyes crease, bowed in the happy 'u’ of mirth. He struggles to keep his face smooth, as a Priest is not a Priest during gaiety and jovial Song. For the notes interrupt the true Importance.

He huffs, throat clenching, pressing his lips tightly to prevent a smile. After a moment, nearly twenty minutes, the hand removes, and the pleasantness of his natural face remains, creased deeper with the thought of laughter. His eyebrows raise, slightly.

It would be folly to think that all hunters could come of the Hunt unscathed, and it would be even more foolish to believe that they wouldn’t wear down after so many nights of beasts, bullets, and blood. With that thought in mind, perhaps that’s why the Hunter felt a jab of pity when Daniel’s back felt like it thick cords of rope replaced his spine.

Even with his bit of pity, he wasn’t quite sure why he placed a hand against Daniel’s back; it might have been a comforting touch initially, but after an instant of thought, the Hunter thought he might as well try to help in this situation. As he placed his palm between Dan’s shoulder blades, he prepared himself for what might be an awkward time.

He rumbled slowly as he pressed the tips of his fingers against a tight muscle, “I hope I’m not touching any bruises here.”
