Well that was unexpected. Ai didn’t found any other words for it. Not really. Jin wasn’t the first one to say something like that, but compared to the times before Ai felt like he could actually believe the teen. Even though he wasn’t sure why exactly. Maybe it was because Jin had to suffer the most under the Light Ignis. Maybe it was a completely different reason. One that he probably never would figure out. 

“As much as I appreciate you saying that... it doesn’t really change anything, does it?” he replied in the end, eyes focusing on the other one. That teen was a victim of the incident just like Yusaku had been. Yet they were so different. Far more than Ai managed to comprehend. 

​“I mean.. I’m sorry for what happened to you too. Still doesn’t give you any of those years lost back, hu?”

Maybe he just was mean right now but... he had decided he wanted to play the devil right now. Might as well act up on it, right?

Dead, hu? For a while Yusaku couldn’t do much more than just staring at the younger one. Honestly there hadn’t been much contact between them before he had left and now that he returned... Yusaku honestly wasn’t sure how to deal with this. 

“Guess death couldn’t stop me then.” he replied in the end, frowning slightly. Had he actually died? At this point Yusaku wasn’t even sure anymore. With all the time he had spend online almost desperately trying to find Ai... well he had woken up on an ICU at some point so... who knows?

bandage / for takeru

“I swear Jin, it’s not that bad. I’ve had worse.” Takeru smiles, but he hisses when the cotton swab with rubbing alcohol on it is dabbed on the wound on his knee.

Okay, so maybe the two of them were both running a bit late, and maybe daring Jin to jump the fence with him was a bad idea. Especially when it gets them both hurt on the way down. In his defense... Okay, Takeru has nothing. And now they both get to be patched up together. At least Takeru knows how to do that! With cotton swabs, some rubbing alcohol, a little bit of anti-bacterial stuff, and bandages of course. Neither of their injuries seem that bad at least, just scrapes, but better safe than sorry.

If Lightning was honest to himself, then there had been a lot of things he’d expected his dear origin to say given the chance to do so. Those words...those words certainly had not been on that list. It was kinda unnerving, because it proved that the Ignis still failed to understand. There was still something going on in that humans head that he failed to comprehend. 

He was supposed to be better than this. 

“Ho? So tell me, little one. Who am I then?”

Tsuki came to a halt, a somewhat startled look crossing his features. Was it his ghastly appearance scaring people again?

"Wait, no-" He started, waving a hand dismissively, "I'm not a ghost, if that's what you're thinking...! Please don't scream."

Well didn’t that sound familiar?  

For a moment Yusaku could only stare at the older one. At least until he realized that that probably was rude and he soon moved his eyes elsewhere. Not that he was really focusing on anything to begin with but still... 

People get hurt. 

That was a little bit too close for him, but at the same time it made it impossible for him to deny. 

“Maybe that’s the price we have to pay for surviving that hell... we’re just not allowed to get comfortable. Or to get close to others.”

That certainly was something Miyu could agree with. Feeling alone. It actually was some kind of headline of her life in some way. Eventually a soft smile reached her face though, hand raised to reach out, just to stop again once she realized that they barely knew each other, and basically strangers probably didn’t like being touched just like that. 

“I guess we were left alone for so long we don’t know how to feel anything else anymore.” she pointed out eventually, tilting her head to the side. “Maybe we should have figured out. Maybe the world failed to teach us.”

“And just what is so funny?” Spectre smiles, hearing Jin’s laughter. It’s a beautiful sound. And sure, maybe Spectre can see some humor in it.

He was just trying to make something for the two of them to eat. But the strawberry container had other plans, getting stuck and causing a strawberry explosion when it finally opened.
