Here’s my first two slow fire groups and then my first two hat quals.....I accidentally beat those RMR dudes who were talking shit......if you have an RDS on your pistol you should easily be able to beat anyone with irons......if you can’t it’s not your optic’s fault. ///. I see more and more RDS pistols in both OE and GOV classes nowadays and it’s a good thing. If I were a cop, solider or assaulter I’d wear an RDS on a pistol for multiple reasons. ///. I also see a host of people (the majority) who can’t use them correctly (zero, draw, failure SOPs) and think that it’s a magical device that will make you good without putting in the time. This is not true. Your initial time investment is big and then after that you’ll see the benefits........ and always remember they will break.........hopefully the new Trijicon and Aimpoint will be the solution for slide mounted longevity. ///. I use and teach with RDS pistols all the time and generally choose to use a small iron sighted pistol for OE classes for the sole reason of there are still more students with irons than optics....right now. ///.
